As we continued from Part 1, a sudden voice pierced the air, "Brother, what are you doing here?" I rubbed away my tears and gazed at the man who had called out. His piercing green eyes and kind face were unmistakable, despite his worn and tattered clothes. It was Kim, my brother, one year younger than me. He had always been a high achiever, excelling in both studies and sports. I had high hopes for him, and he looked like a movie star, with a strong jawline and piercing
Kim raised an eyebrow. "Hmm, okay, I'll believe you for now. But, ah, this is why I don't like smart people, haha!" He chuckled, and I playfully rolled my eyes. "Did you say something?" Kim asked, and I shook my head, "No, nothing. Let's go home.
"Hey, Brother, what's going on?" Kim asked, his piercing green eyes filled with concern. "You look like you've lost your last friend. Did something happen?" I forced a smile, trying to brush off my frustration and anger. "Nah, just feeling a little down, that's all. Seeing others give their kids the world, and I can't even give you a decent life." Kim's expression turned skeptical. "You're beating yourself up over that? I'm happy with what we have, Brother. We make do, right?" I hesitated, then assured him, "Yeah, you're right. I'm just being stupid." Kim playfully punched my shoulder. "Yeah, you are! But I love you anyway, Brother."
We walked towards our humble abode, a small, weathered house made of wood, tin, and mud. The roof leaked during rains, and the walls had many holes, but it was our sweet home. As we entered, a soft, low voice greeted us, "Brothers, you're finally here. Why are you so late? Take food and go to sleep; it's already late." My youngest brother, Jai, emerged from the shadows, his cute face and voice a stark contrast to his usual quiet and reserved nature.
Jai's eyes locked onto my face, and he asked, "You cried, right?" I tried to hide it, but he saw right through me. Both Kim and Jai looked angry, their faces stern, as if they were about to pounce on someone. Kim demanded, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I replied, "It's better for you to stay out of this matter and focus; I can resolve this type of thing on my own." Kim's expression turned defiant. "I see how you manage it, getting beaten by those bastards, then..." He snatched the axe and sprinted out of the house before I could stop him.
Jai and I chased after Kim, worried sick. "Hey, Kim, stop! You can't do this; you're not strong enough to beat him!" But Kim didn't listen, fueled by anger and determination. We were left with no choice but to follow him, our hearts racing with fear and uncertainty. Suddenly, a loud boom and crash sound echoed through the air, and we froze, our eyes fixed on the scene before us. We were stunned, our minds struggling to comprehend what we were seeing. It was something from another world, staring back at us with an unblinking gaze, filling us with both curiosity and terror.
