As I stood there, my body battered and bruised, I glared at Azrael with a mix of anger and confusion. "What do you mean pass?" I spat, my voice laced with venom. "Why did you beat us to death if you didn't want to hurt us, you fucker?"Azrael's expression turned solemn, and he raised a hand, as if begging for patience. "Shut up, you moron, let me finish," he said, his voice firm but laced with a hint of sadness. "I didn't want to hurt you, but I had no choice. I was taking a test, and you passed."
I snorted, incredulous. "What test? What are you talking about?"
Azrael sighed, his eyes gazing into the distance, as if remembering a painful past. "This test is about the next heir of my lord, the God of Harmony, Tramon. You and your brother were chosen as the hier."I furrowed my brow, confusion etched on my face. "What is this hier? And didn't you say you are a god?"
Azrael's eyes dropped, and he shook his head. "No, I am not. Hier is the thing that can help anybody become God, even a mortal like you. But someone became hier, the God leaves his Godly power and became a mortal or died."
I scoffed, disbelief evident in my tone. "Then why didn't you become the God? And what happened to your God
Azrael's face contorted in pain, and tears flowed down his cheeks like a river. "My lord died," he whispered, his voice cracking with emotion. "He was the kindest and most beautiful... He was killed by another God And I stayed loyal to my lord and choose to do as my lord say and will go to my lord as my work is done."
My eyes widened in shock, and I leaned forward, eager to hear more. "How? Why?"
Azrael's eyes seemed to gaze into the past, and his voice became laced with sorrow. "There were seven Gods, and each God had seven angels like me. One day, one angel found a black, enormous liquid... He called all Gods, and we started to discuss what it was and what we should do. But it was prohibited to touch it... The God of War touched it, and that liquid consumed him, making him into something unimaginable."
Azrael's voice trailed off, and he gazed at me with a serious expression. "He started to attack everyone, but after a long war, he was sealed. Every God and angel died, and only I survived. But the God of War sent his corrupt angels to hurt me and take the key that sealed him. I had already found the right person to be the hier of the other six Gods, and now you are the hier of the God of Harmony, and your brother is the hold guard who will protect this key."
I felt a surge of fear and responsibility, and my mind raced with questions. But before I could ask, Azrael's expression turned grave, and he gazed at the sky, which had turned a deep shade of red.
"They are coming," he whispered, his voice laced with urgency. And with that, everything went black.
