She opens her eyes slowly. Still, it feels like too much. Everything is a blur of color and sound. Voices shouting unfamiliar names. "Sophie!" "Kiddo!" "FOSTER!" "Fos-bos!" She groans and sits up. A weird looking person with ugly glasses approaches her. "Be careful, Sophie! We don't want to set you back!" A good looking boy with messy blond hair grins. "We're talking about Foster here. She'll live." An older blond glares with a really handsome teal eyed boy. "She shouldn't put herself in danger!" they say at the same time. Sophie groans and buries her head under her pillow. It's too much. Too many strangers. What do they want with her? Why are they acting like they know her? She's never seen them before in her life. Someone behind her clears his throat. "Guys, can you all wait in the hall for a minute? I need to talk to Sophie about team Valiant business." Sophie looks up. The blond boy rolls his eyes and mutters something about team fancy-pants. Eventually everyone leaves. The boy who spoke sat down next to her. He grins showing his dimples. "I'm glad you're okay." "Who are you?" asks Sophie softly. His grin vanishes. "What?" "WHO ON EARTH ARE YOU?!?!" she yells. Everything is way too much. She'd rather be in a coma. The boy flinches. "I'm Dex. You know that." "NO I DON'T! I CAN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING!" Worry crosses Dex's face. "I-I'll get Elwin."
