Tyler approached the poorly lit building warily just as Wednesday seemly materialized as she silently crept out of one of the buildings many shadows. They walked toward each. Wednesday slowly almost methodical and calculating while Tyler seemed to take each step more hesitant than the last. Until finally they were within arms reach of each other.
"Thing gave me your note," Tyler said to break the unnerving silence. Crossing his arms tightly, he continued, "I was surprised you wanted to see me again, especially after you ran out last night."
Wednesday just continued to stare lifelessly into Tyler's eyes furthering the discomfort he felt towards the interaction forcing him yet again to break the awkward silence. This time opting for a joking he uncomfortably smiled and remarked, "So, uh, is this a date?"
Finally, Wednesday breaks her silence. "Its a surprise."
This comment only made Tyler more uneasy forcing a small, strained chuckle from his lips in hopes to dispel some of his nerves. Arms still tightly crossed, he started his approach trying to close the distance between him and Wednesday. But just as they were about to meet, she quickly stepped past him.
"When I came to Nevermore romance was the last thing on my mind," she began, "but when you kissed me, you opened my eyes and suddenly it all made sense."
This produced an indignant scoff from Tyler.
As if she wasn't interrupted Wednesday continued, "Xavier warned me about you, but I didn't listen."
Finally picking up on Wednesday unfriendly demeanor, Tyler almost seemed to stare through Wednesday as he remarked, "Ironic now, huh?"
Now letting no silence fall between them Wednesday quickly replied, "Ironic would have been framing Xavier for murder while the real Hyde helped me put him away."
Staring disbelievingly, he began, "Wait...you don't think..."
"I don't think. I know." Wednesday confidently said. "Kinbott probably discovered your secret during one of your sessions," she furthered, "So she unlocked you."
"Why'd you kill her?" Wednesday finally asked.
Tyler just continued his stare of disbelief.
So Wednesday continued again, "I thought Hydes were typically loyal to their masters."
At last Tyler frantically interjected, "Wednesday, this is nuts."
Wednesday heeded no mind to his comment saying, "On Outreach Day, I told you I was visiting the old meeting house."
"Did Kinbott send you to spy on me?"
"At the Rav'n, you overheard Eugene and me discussing your cave in the woods and you warned Kinbott." She added, "Eugene probably saw her torching it. Then sent you to clean up her mess."
Staring still Wednesday continued still, "I have to hand it to you, Tyler. Wounding yourself that night at the Gates mansion, that was a masterstroke of misdirection."
"Okay, stop," Tyler frantically exclaimed his arm finally dropping from their tight hold on each other, "Do you hear how crazy you sound right now?"
"I am not a monster."
"A...And if you really thought that I was, why would risk bringing me out to the woods to confront me alone?" He questioned with hurt plastered across his face.
Slowly Wednesday replied, "Who said I was alone?"
Tyler's face fell as he turned to face the building once more where Bianca and other members of the Nightshades began to step out of the building dark cover and surround him.
