First day

*Ambers POV*

"Ok here you are sweetheart I'll help you get your stuff to the door then the care taker named Mrs. Lilly Ann should help you to your room here. Okay" Mia the officer said as we were pulling up to the orphanage where I was being placed " okay " I said in a slight whisper cause I was scared to go in witch officer Mia must have noticed because "every thing will be fine honey it may be scary at first but you'll get used to it . Do you want to know a secret ? " she asked I nodded my head because I couldn't talk , I was taking in what had just happened to me a few hours ago . " I was an orphan too but a really nice lady adopted me and gave me a new home, and if any body hurt you in any way you call me ." She said writing her number down on a piece of paper and giving it to me "okay " I said as we were walking up to the front door of a huge house known to be an orphanage.

"Ah hello there you must be Amber " the so called Mrs. Lilly Ann said "y-yes" I replied to her " I'm Mrs. Lilly Ann , im the care taker here . Would you like me to show you to your room " she asked "yes please " I said

We walked in the house and it was huge but not as big as it looked from outside but still big . we walked up a few stairs and looked over the railings "that below us is the dining are where we serve breakfast lunch and dinner " we continue to walk up and then there's a hall of doors "yours is the 5th one on the left Amber "I nod my head and walk to my new room I hear Mrs. Lilly call out " I'll bring your stuff up in a few minutes . Okay? !" "OK!" I yell back.

~time skip to her unpacking~

I went in my room and seen all my boxes and luggage so I started to unpack and the first thing I get out is all my band tees and regular shirts but mostly band tees and put into the closet in my new room . That took up most of the room so I could only put my bass and guitar in there after.yes I play the bass and guitar, my inspiration was Ashley , Jake , an Jinxx from black veil brides . I went to put all my bathroom stuff away like my batman towel and hair stuff

I only had one more box left and it was full of my comic books and bracelets that I wasn't wearing because I alway were some to hide the rows of scars and cuts on my wrist . it was about 4:00pm when I heard Mrs.Lilly Ann over the loudspeaker "dinner is ready will all children report to the dining hall " I didn't want to eat because I already ate today and that was enough I can't gain any more weight than I already have .

I saw one last thing at the bottom of the box . It was a picture of my family witch has now fallen apart . I had an abusive dad but my mom never did anything I blanked out and had a flashback
~FLASH BACK ~

"You just take up space in this house you worthless piece of shit I call a daughter!" My dad yell at me as he slapped me .hard. I felt the redness come to my cheek and tried to run to the bathroom . key word "tried" but my dad grabbed my arm and threw me to the ground and kicked my side saying " your just a worthless bitch in my eyes" he said crouching down to my face and whispers to me "now if this is ever mentioned or talked about ...... Thing will get a lot worse you alright bitch"

~ end flash back~
I must have been out for a while because I was being shaken by Lilly Ann the care taker " Amber , Amber what's wrong honey " saying as she was holding my shoulders ." I just ha a bad memory of my dad that's all " I told her "ok sweetie but you might want to get some sleep so good night" Lilly Ann said as she walked away shutting my door

I looked around my room and found my iPhone and earbuds and started listening to black veil brides and the first song was in the end
I started to sing along softly to it
