❝ it would've been fun, if you would've been the one. ❞
⇄ ◃◃ ⅠⅠ ▹▹ ↻One second I love him, the other I hate him. I just... I don't get it.
What I do get, is that it's officially time to start forgetting about him completely. And the first step to that, is do anything but be in a room with him.
Which is exactly why I'm getting out of the stadium right now to meet up with Nadim who's supposed to be waiting for me outside.
He's picking me up and taking me to dinner as per we agreed last night. I don't know where he's taking me. As long as it's far away from Pedri, take me away.
I walk around the stadium, heading for the back exit to avoid the crowd and recognition.
I feel my phone ringing in my pocket and pick it up. "Yes?" I answer after reading Nadim's name.
"I think I'm gonna be a bit late." He informs, the noise of honking and yelling coming from his end of the line. "It's pretty crowded out here." He adds, explaining himself.
"Don't worry about it, I'll wait for you." I dismiss, my steps becoming slower, the pressure to be out on time gone.
"Sorry." He apologizes as a honk seems to come from his car now. I tell him not to worry about it before hanging up.
I have no idea what to do now. I guess I'll just wait for him outside. I continue making my way out, just slower.
Once outside, I simply lean in against the wall and wait for the guy. I open anything on my phone to keep myself distracted.
A couple minutes pass and the door next to me opens. The guys are starting to leave. Pedri's always late though, so I'm not scared of bumping into him anytime soon.
First out are Raphinha and Iñaki. The goal keeper doesn't question me and just nods as a goodbye. Raphinha, on the other hand, stops.
"Why are you here?" He frowns. Yes, it is quite unusual for me to run out of the locker room because I supposedly have something to do and then just stand outside doing nothing. So I can understand his question.
"I'm just waiting for someone." I dismiss him, explaining my situation.
"Do you need a ride?" He suggests.
"Oh, no. Thanks." I smile, appreciative of the gesture.
He simply nods and we share goodbyes before I continue entertaining myself on my phone. The next people out are Ale and Lamine.
Lamine whispers something over to Ale when he sees me, his friend nods understandingly before wishing me goodbye and heading to his car.
Lamine on the contrary, walks closer to me. I smile, as a hi. This boy might be the only one I've been giving genuine smiles to lately.
He smiles back before raising both his hands in the air for me to high five. I chuckle, placing my phone in my back pocket and leaning myself off the wall before reciprocating the high five.
It then turns into a quick hug. He might be the youngest one on the team but he's surely one of the tallest ones.
"Playing like a goddamn king, I see." I compliment as we pull back.
