Dark Spyro laid on his bed, thinking to himself while holding the Wumpan Puzzle Box in his right paw. After his adventure with Eruptor to the past, he discovered how to open the Puzzle Box. But it just won't budge! Dark Spyro groaned to himself before returning to staring at the box. Suddenly, Strykore's head projection appeared before Dark Spyro, causing him to jump... again.
"Strykore!" Dark Spyro spoke. "I've figured it out!""Figured what out," Strykore said in an unamused tone.
"The secret to opening the Puzzle Box! You have to be true of heart in order to open it, which is a little hard when you had your light eaten!" he expressed.
Strykore's projection was aloft, before going towards Dark Spyro. "Then you better find a way," Strykore threatened.
"I do have an idea," Dark Spyro said with a scheming grin.
Elf was walking down from the Academy to their home. Seems she had forgotten something, and she did need to get Spyro as well, as he was needed. She opened the front door and walked inside. It was empty. Well, the living room at least.
"Spyro?" she called. No answer. Elf made her way to her room and entered. The elf grabbed her dual blades that she had forgotten earlier. "That's better." She turned back towards the door and was surprised to see Spyro in the doorway.
"Oh, Spyro! Didn't hear you there," a relieved Elf said.
"Hey, Elf. I need you to do something real quick," Spyro told Elf.
"Okay?" she said, a little sceptical.
"Follow me."
The two had gone to Spyro's room. It was the same as usual. Spyro went up to Elf.
"I got a quick question," he said. "Could you try opening this?" Spyro flew over to the other side of the room and grabbed a weird cube... thing. He went back to Elf and placed it in her hand.
"Try opening this. Just think of doing it."
"Okay?" Elf replied with a confused tone. She did as he said. And instantly, the box began to emanate a soft, white glow.
"No way!" Spyro said with his front paws on his head.
"YES! FINALLY!" he yelled.
Elf was bewildered by Spyro's excitement and the box. More of the latter though. The box's sides began to shift itself into a spot where it cleanly put itself into. A hollow cylinder with a paper inside came out from the top. Elf grabbed the paper and opened it up. It was a map. But to where? Before that question was answered, however, an attack came to Elf's face. She was sent back into the wall.
Elf was getting attacked, but by who? Spyro's face had a smile painted on it, and he picked the map up. "Oh, it was a pleasure being with you guys," Spyro spoke. "Actually, I retract that statement. It was horrible. Ah, Strykore's gonna be pleased with this!"
Elf's face was filled with disbelief. Her friend, Spyro, had been working with Strykore as a mole?!
Dark Spyro's head turned to face Elf. "Oops, forgot about you."
Dark Spyro knocked Elf out before flying out of the top of his room, breaking the glass.

Kaos and the Doom Raiders flew around with no set destination in the Skylands. They had no money, no food, no anything. Kaos' leadership was the worst, and the crew had ultimately called a mutiny on Kaos. Before they could do anything, however, they crashed into something.
