S3 Skylanders Academy E11: Journey to the Crypts

Eon, Kaossandra, and team Spyro- albeit missing Spyro- stood on the deck with Flynn atop the stairs.

"Now, you might be thinking; 'Hey, how would the Captain with the absolutely amazing jawline and spectacular feats take us to our buddy pal Cynder?' Well, as luck would have it, I was recently hired to sail a wedding cruise down to the Underworld. Beautiful ceremony, the dances were lovely but there were no survivors. But while I was down there, I had spied a sight of the evil Malefor and your missing Skylander, Cynder. I've also taken another job, getting her to the Underworld as well. I don't know what a fox would want there, but not my business."

"I-I don't know what to say," Eon said. "We might have a fighting chance against Strykore, thanks to you. If there's anything we could ever do to repay you for this act, just say."

"So it's apparent that I'm not getting paid," Flynn muttered under his breath with a slightly disappointed expression.

"Skylanders, you have heard your mission. Travel to the Underworld with Flynn to locate and rescue Cynder ASAP, so good luck," Eon announced to the four. "Meanwhile, Kaossandra and I will prepare for our expedition to Arkus. Now, should I pack a light coat or a sweater? I suppose I could always take off the coat, but what would I do? Tie it around my waist?" Eon went on as he and Kaossandra flew away on his hover-podium.

"Wait," Stealth Elf said. "Her?"

"Ah, right. I don't think you've met Kieldara before," Flynn replied.

Soon after, an amber-white-coloured fox came out from the cabin, yawning and stretching while moving out. She immediately stopped upon noticing the four new Skylanders on the ship. 

"Wow! More Skylanders. Didn't expect any to join this trip," Kieldara remarked. "Well, I'm pretty sure Flynn already introduced me but I'll do it again. Name's Kieldara, or Kiel for short if you wish. And I'm a Skylander, if you didn't know already."

Jet-Vac eyed Kiel. "And where have you been all this time?"

"You know, being a vagabond, wherever the wind takes me. Even though I've already explored most of it."

"We should go now," Stealth Elf suggested. "We're running out of time to get to Cynder and Arkus."

"Righty-o." Flynn went to the helm and fired up the Dread Yacht's systems. The four now headed towards the Underworld.

Deep underwater, a sunken prison cell stood on the floor of the sea. Inside, Kaos was struggling to break out due to it dampening his magic powers.

"Stupid Father. Stupid underwater prison cell," he spoke before trying again to break out with his magic powers, but it was futile and only made Kaos more tired. He whimpered before heading over to the only window on it, looking out towards the sea floor.

"Stupid underwater prison cell that dampens my stupid powers. Think, think!"

Kaos began to walk around in a circle in the cell. "If I'm going to get revenge on Father, I need to free myself." He stood there for a second before speaking.

"Eureka! I've got the perfect escape plan!" he announced. "GET ME OUT OF HERE!" he screamed before ramming himself into the walls of the cell. He fell on the floor after the impact as he heard something squeaking. "Uh oh."

A screw began to unscrew itself and shot out, allowing for water to flow into the cell. Kaos frantically went up to the leak to cover it with his finger and sighed in relief after doing so. However, another screw popped out and Kaos went to cover it with his foot. "Whew." And another followed the two screws before it. Kaos began to reach over with his other unoccupied finger and struggled a little before reaching and covering it.
