It had been exactly 3 days since Lan Zhan has been stabbed. Wei Wuxian was taking constant care of him. For over the 3 days, Lan Zhan has been sleeping the entire 3 days.

Wei Wuxian tried his best to take care of wound. He tried his best to make his Lan Zhan comfortable. Wei Wuxian was putting his outer robes on Lan Zhan after wrapping a new bandage on.

He heard the sounds of chains. Wei Wuxian stood up and walked towards the cave entrance. He saw Wen Ning walking. "Wen Ning" He called out, Wen Ning perked up. "Wei-gongzi.."

Wei Wuxian walked over to Wen Ning and placed a hand on his head. "Are you okay?" He asked, Wen Ning just looked at the ground. "Jiejie..." Wei Wuxian let out a breath. "I'm sorry Wen Ning.." Wei Wuxian removed his hand.

"But I need your help" Wen Ning raised his head. "It's Lan Zhan" Wei Wuxian started walking back into the cave. Wen Ning was following after him. "I tried my best but we're running low on supplies." Wei Wuxian got on his knees and stared at Lan Zhan.

Wen Ning looked at the two. He then looked at the medicine. He bent down and picked up bottle. Wen Ning quickly turned his head to the cave, a piece of fabric could be seen leaving quickly. Wen Ning saw a pouch at the entrance of the cave that wasn't there before.

"Wei-gongzi.." Wei Wuxian looked at Wen Ning. Wen Ning was walking to the entrance of cave, he looked around before picking up the pouch. He walked back to Wei Wuxian and handed him a pouch. "What's this?" He took the pouch and opened it. "Medicine.." Wei Wuxian said under his breath.

Wen Ning was gonna tell him how it got here but Lan Zhan was groaning. "Hold on Lan Zhan. Wen Ning decided to leave the two alone and walked out of the cave. Lan Zhan's eyes slowly fluttered open. "Wei..ying...?"

"I'm here, don't worry I'm here" Wei Wuxian grabbed Lan Zhan's hand and held it tightly in his own. Lan Zhan didn't feel much pain but he still felt it. He looked over and saw Wei Ying staring at him. "You're gonna be okay"

"Lan Zhan. Why?" Wei Wuxian suddenly asked. Lan Zhan turned his head to the other side, tear falling down his face. Lan Zhan mumbled something incoherent that Wei Wuxian couldn't hear.

"What was that?" Wei Wuxian asked, leaning in closer. Before Lan Zhan could repeat, Wen Ning came in. "Sorry to barge in...but Wei-Gongzi..someone is here" Wei Wuxian perked up. Who dares to come to him after everything.

Wei Wuxian stood up and walked away from Lan Zhan. He walked out of the cave and walked to the mysterious person. When he got a closer look, he knew who this person was.

"Jiang Cheng." Wei Wuxian said coldly. Before Wei Wuxian could say anything else, Jiang Cheng punched him. Wei Wuxian stumbled and an spat out the blood. "If you're here to pester me then just leave."

"I have to get back to my A-Zhan." Wei Wuxian turned around and started walking back to the cave. "Do you not care!" Jiang Cheng yelled. Wei wuxian stopped in his tracks. "Do you not care that she's dead!" Jiang Cheng felt tears welling up. He blinked them away.

"Leave."

Jiang Cheng was going to speak again but Wei Wuxian beat him to it. "I said leave!" Wei Wuxian yelled. Jiang Cheng huff and turned around and left. Wei Wuxian sighed and walked back to the cave.

When he entered the cave, he saw Lan Zhan trying to sit up. "Lan Zhan!" He quickly rushed over and held Lan Zhan. "You can't be doing this. You're still healing." Lan Zhan closed his eyes tightly. His fingers digging into Wei Wuxian's inner robes.

"Lan Zhan..please lay back down" Lan Zhan shook his head. Wei Wuxian sighed. "At least you're awake right now. That gives me some hope" Wei Wuxian whispered. Wei Wuxian held Lan Zhan close to his chest.

He reached for the pouch from earlier. He dug through it and found a vial. "Here, this might help" He placed the top of the vial against Lan Zhan's lip and tilted it every so slightly. The liquid from the vial smoothly slide down Lan Zhan's throat.

Lan Zhan felt relief wash over his body. He knew this type of medicine. It temporarily takes away the pain but not for long. Wei Wuxian placed the vial down on the rock and grabbed his outer robe.

He wraps it around Lan Zhan and sits against the rock. He hold Lan Zhan against his chest and made sure he wasn't hurting his love. Lan Zhan closed his eyes and let out a breath.

Lan Zhan's eyes opened again. He looked at ahead of him. All he saw were rocks. He's never felt so vulnerable. Sure he felt vulnerable when his mother died but never this vulnerable.

He was supposed to be strong. That's how he was raised. He was supposed to be the star pupil of his clan. Lan Zhan was zoned out and it made Wei Wuxian worried. "Just rest for now. It shouldn't take much longer" Wei Wuxian whispered. Lan Zhan looked up at Wei Wuxian.

Lan Zhan looked away. He felt his ears turn red. He realized just now how close he was to Wei Wuxian. He leaned against Wei Wuxian's chest, closing his eyes. He listened the heartbeat.

The heartbeat was steady. He was falling into another world of dreams. Where his dreams were not full of chaos. A dream where his Wei Ying loved him back.
