Lan Zhan was dressed in red and black robes. A-Yuan was dressed in the same color robes. Lan Zhan had sew him some new ones. Wei Wuxian placed the cloak on Lan Zhan's shoulders."Are you sure you'll be okay?" Wei Wuxian was worried. He didn't like that fact that his A-Zhan was leaving him. "Mn, I'll be fine" Lan Zhan pulled the hood over his head.
A-Yuan had a hat over his head, it was a little big for his head but it was okay. "We'll be back." Lan Zhan said. He bent down and picked up A-Yuan. "Bye bye baba!!" A-Yuan waved goodbye.
Wei Wuxian waved back as the two started walking away. He let his arm drop to his side. "Wen Ning, follow them and protect them" Wei Wuxian ordered. Wen Ning nodded and trailed after the two.
Lan Zhan and A-Yuan finally made it to the small town in Yiling. People were cautious since they knew about the Yiling Laozu. No one dared to speak up to the four clans that Wei Wuxian was living in the burial mounds.
A-Yuan was looking around. He hugged Lan Zhan's neck. Lan Zhan patted his back as he walked through Yiling, he would soon see vegetables for sale. Lan Zhan walked over and looked at the vegetables. "Ah, hello young master" The old man smiled. "You see anything you like?" Lan Zhan hummed.
"Can I have a few carrots, some chilies, mushrooms, and some potatoes?" Lan Zhan asked. A-Yuan looked at Lan Zhan then looked back at the old man. The old man nodded and smiled. He started to place the food in a sack.
"That'll be 4 gold" Lan Zhan perked up. That's oddly cheap. He placed A-Yuan on the ground and handed him the sack. He reached into his sleeve and pulled out four gold. "That's cheap sir" Lan Zhan said, handing the gold to the old man.
"Ah well, business isn't good around Yiling with everything that is happening." The old man smiled nervously. "I see..." Lan Zhan grabbed A-Yuan's hand. "Have a nice day sir" The old man smiled as the two walked off.
Lan Zhan didn't walk far before stopping. He bent down and handed A-Yuan two more gold tokens. "A-Yuan go place these on that nice man's stand" A-Yuan quietly giggled as he took the gold and rushed back to the stand.
He made sure the man wasn't looking and placed the gold on the stand before running back to Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan stood up, he had a small smile om his face. A-Yuan picked up the sack against and held onto Lan Zhan's cloak.
The two walked around Yiling more. Lan Zhan glanced to the side and saw a piece of a chain. Oh Wei Ying... Lan zhan thought. The two stopped at another stand. "Hello young master!" The lady smiled politely. "How may I help you?" Lan Zhan looked around her stand. She various of fabrics.
"Can I have some red and black fabric" He kindly asked. The young maiden nodded. She grabbed some pieces of the colored fabric and handed it to Lan Zhan. "That'll be three silver" Lan Zhan searched his sleeve and pulled out three silver and handed it to the lady.
A-Yuan thanked her as they left. "Rich-gege, are we gonna go home?" A-Yuan asked. "One more stand and we'll head back okay?" A-Yuan nodded, his hand clutching the cloak.
They had stopped at a nearby table. Lan Zhan helped A-Yuan on the table as he sat the sack beside him. "Wen Ning. You can come out now." The sound of chains rustled behind Lan Zhan. "How..?" Wen Ning didn't finish his sentence as Lan Zhan cut him off.
"It was obvious. You should be more careful or else people will turn you in." Wen Ning nodded. "Come sit" Wen Ning hesitated but eventually he sat across from Lan Zhan.
The three sat in silence for a bit, but after a few minutes Lan Zhan spoke up. "He's gonna do it..isn't he" Lan Zhan stared at his lap. Wen Ning promised Wei Wuxian that he wouldn't tell. "He only wants revenge.." Wen Ning said quietly.
The people around started to whisper. They were mainly whispering about Wen Ning. "Let's go." Lan Zhan threw the sack over his shoulder and grabbed A-Yuan. Wen Ning grabbed the fabrics. They quickly stood up and were rushing.
Out of the corner of Lan Zhan's eye, he could've sworn he saw someone. However, when he stopped and looked. No one was there. "Rich-gege?" A-Yuan pulled on Lan Zhan's cloak. Lan Zhan snapped out of it and continued to walk.
Thoughts were swirling around in Lan Zhan's head. After being asleep for so long and being stabbed, there was some stuff he forgot. Lan Zhan would hoped he could remember stuff in the future.
There is one person he wishes to never forget. That is his brother. Lan Zhan doesn't want to admit to people but he does miss his brother truly. His brother probably thinks he dead.
Lan Zhan was so far gone in his thoughts that he ran into Wen Ning's back. "Wen Ning?" Lan Zhan looked at Wen Ning who stopped. "Sorry..but we to hurry" Lan Zhan nodded. He held A-Yuan close as they both made a run for it. Lan Zhan hopes they make it back to the burial mounds before trouble strikes.
