Everyone settled down on their seats looking at the screen to know what's more happened in their future.

"Can I sit here?" Meng Yao asked Lan Xichen pointing at the empty seat next to Lan Xichen.

Lan Xichen nodded but Jingyi suddenly stop him.

"No you can't. You're not allowed near my a-die at all." he said glaring at him that got the attentions of other people.

"Why?" Meng Yao asked with a smile.

"You just can't." Jingyi just said frowning at him.

"You lool like Jiang Cheng." Wei Wuxian suddenly said.

"Of course." Jingyi said proudly.

"Un-lan, settle down." Jiang Cheng said making Jingyi sit.

"But he can't sit with a-die." Jingyi insist.

"No one is allowed to seat beside my a-die especially someone like who is dis-" he was cut-off by Lan Xichen.

"A-yi, watch what you're saying." Lan Xichen reprimand him with a slight anger in his voice that shocked everyone especially Lan Qiren and Lan Wangji.

"A-die?" Jingyi asked in disbelief.

Never in his life that his father reprimand him especially getting angry at him. Just the thought of it make him sad not realising that he was already crying.

"A-yi I'm sorry." Lan Xichen apologized standing up to comfort him but he only cried louder.

Before Lan Xichen can hug him, Jiang Cheng already beat him to it. Knowing that it is his a-niang he hugged him back crying quietly as Jiang Cheng carried him to his seat and Lan Xichen instantly followed.

Jin Ling was sitting between his parents same with Zizhen while Sizhui sat at end of the first row next to Wei Wuxian who is sitting beside Lan Wangji. Jingyi was sitting on Jiang Cheng's lap as he refused to let go of his mother.

The screen started again.

Wei WuXian received a kick just as he opened his eyes.

"How dare he?!" shouted Jiang Cheng making everyone jumped in his sudded outburst.

A voice thundered beside his ear, “Stop playing dead!”

The kick threw him backwards, headfirst onto the ground. Fighting the urge to vomit, a thought formed in his head— that’s quite a lot of courage you have to kick me, the Patriarch.

"He's gonna die." muttered a cultivator.

"No one is able to save him." muttered another cultivator.

It was his first time hearing a human voice in quite a few years, let alone such a loud, fierce shriek. His head swirled and ears buzzed with the echoes of the voice, “Whose land do you think you’re living on? Whose rice are you eating? Whose money are you spending? What’s wrong with taking a few of your belongings? Everything you own should be mine, anyways!”

Aside from this adolescent, duck-like voice, there were the clunks of ransacking chests and smashing objects as well. His eyes gradually cleared up.

A dimly-lit ceiling appeared in his sight, followed by a slant-browed person with a sickly composition, drenching him with spittle, “How dare you tell Father and Mother? Did you really think that anybody in this house is going to listen to you? You actually thought I was scared of you!”

"This kid have no manners." commented Lam Qiren.

"Why are they doing that?" asked a random cultivator out of curiosity.
