CHAPTER 13 - THESE BIG WORDS
SOON, A SLOW SONG comes on and all the couples get in their respective dance positions. Ashton holds his hand out in question, I grab it and we get into a nice position; one of his hands gripping my waist while the other is steadily holding mine. One of my hands is placed on his shoulder while the other is placed neatly in his. I place my head in his neck—which is very comfortable, might I add.
We're swaying back and forth in a rhythm to the slow song playing in the background when Ashton decides to speak.
"Did I tell you how fucking gorgeous you look tonight?" He says out of nowhere, his breath causing goosebumps to appear everywhere.
I feel my cheeks heat up and return a compliment, "well you clean up well Ahston, almost hot," I lie.
"Almost?" he chuckles, then pauses before speaking again.
"My mom used to always say go for what you want," he says pulling away so he could see my face but still staying rather close, he tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
"And what do you want?" I find my voice and say, barely above a whisper.
He hesitates and looks down at my lips before looking back up at my eyes which only causes me to bite my lower lip and causes him to shift his gaze back down, this time lingering a little longer before he brings his eyes back up to meet mine.
"You," he pauses and my breath is caught in my throat. He leans even closer, which seems almost impossible, I feel his minty breath on my face as he says his next words. "Can I kiss you?"
I look into his mesmerizing hazel eyes before I look down to his lips and nod slightly.
In a second, his lips smash onto mine.
To say that fireworks ignite is an understatement. It's like a tornado or hurricane or tsunami or any other natural cause happened before us, noting that this is big.
Ashtons lips move against mine and I completely melt into him. He grabs my waist and I run my hands through his hair, not caring if I messed it up. All I wanted at this moment was nothing else but him. Because as he kissed me and I kissed him back lovingly I realized that I loved this boy. I love his smile and pout and childish and serious and comforting and basically any side there is to him at all. But most of all, I love the way he makes me feel. And on top of all that, I love that I love him.
And with these big words I can confirm that I am completely and truly in love with Ashton Nicholson.
We pull away to catch our breaths and gaze into each other's eyes, both speechless. Ashtons gaze shifts to somewhere behind me with a worried expression.
"What is it?" I ask and make a move to turn around.
Ashton spins me back so I'm facing him again, "nothing," he says quickly. "Let's just enjoy this moment." He grins at me and I smile back as we continue to dance with our friends.
Around ten at night people started to clear out and we were all drained from all the dancing and laughing we've done so we decide to leave. Anthony's limousine is still outside and we all climb in.
In the car all the couples are sitting closely, including Ashton and I. He keeps whispering compliments into my ear and kissing my neck to which I just laugh and pull him closer. All the girls and Anthony are staying at my house tonight so the driver drops off Mark and Brody before heading back to my house.
When we make it there, Anthony thanks the driver and they all head inside my house, leaving Ashton and I standing on his porch so I could say goodbye to him. There's no cars on our driveways except for the both of ours.
