A/N: Written by me in class for Steffy. This is an RDJ x Lin Manuel Miranda fic. The prompts given were frozen, running from the past, and slow burn.

Lin was a to-be queen living in the dungeon of his deceased parents' castle due to the public's fear of his extremely powerful ice powers. When news of his parents' untimely demise reached him, he gravely agreed to take their places on the throne.

He walked to the ballroom, surveying the crowd, his long dress sweeping elegantly behind him. It had been a long time since he'd seen the people of the town and boy was he excited. When he was finally satisfied, he made his way to the throne, only to see a man sitting there.

"Who are you?" He asked, signalling for Security.

"My name's Downey, Robert Downey." The man on the throne replied, without a trace of guilt or malice. Lin was bewildered.

"What are you doing on the throne?" He asked Robert warily.

"Just felt like it."

Lin scrunched up his face in confusion before shouting his signature "What!"

Robert moved to the side of the throne, patting the small empty space next to him. An invitation for Lin to sit next to him.

Lin let out an incredulous gasp.

It was his throne after all! But the man on HIS throne did intrigue him, so he took up Robert's frankly ridiculous offer and squeezed in next to Robert. They stayed there for a little while, silent.

"Why are you here?" Lin asked, breaking the awkward silence.

"Running," came Robert's simple answer. When Lin stared at him, he sighed and continued.

"I'm running from my abusive boyfriend. His name is Steve. Ran all the way into this town and saw that the castle was hosting a party. Thought this was the only place he wouldn't come looking for me." Robert looked down, refusing to meet Lin's eyes.

"Oh" was all Lin could say. He knew what it was like to feel helpless and in fear. He felt himself pitying the man next to him.

"Well, I could get the servants to ready a room for you. You can stay here as long as you like." He finally offered.

"Asking me to move in already, eh?" Robert teased him, nudging him slightly. His previous heavy mood completely lifted, eyes shining as he looked at Lin. Lin couldn't help but smile back at him.

"So, are you going to personally show me to my new room?" Robert leaned in and whispered. Lin felt himself blushing. He nodded and stood up, motioning for Robert to follow suit.

He could see his security guards eyeing his movements, judging Robert, checking if he was a threat. When they finally nodded, Lin smiled.

He led Robert down the corridor and into the big guest room next to his own. He showed Robert where everything was and when Robert looked comfortable in the room, he stood to leave. However, before he could move away, he felt a strong hand grip his arm, holding him back.

"Stay?" Robert asks, fluttering his eyelashes at him.

"Hey," Lin says, unsure.

"Hey~" Robert repeats.

Lin stopped and looked at the sight in front of him. Robert asked him to stay, looking sinfully good on the bed. But no, he was a queen. He couldn't give in to his desires so easily. But how could he say no to this?

Robert held his gaze expectantly. And that's when Lin began to pray, "Lord, show me how to say no to this."

Robert walks up to him, but Lin takes a step back. No, he can't. But Robert looks so good, saying "Enter me!" in parenthesis.

Lin felt the world split beneath his feet. He had to make a decision. Which side to jump before he falls into nothingness? An unhappy life as the perfect queen, or a life with this gorgeous man in front of him.

"I am not throwing my shot," he whispered finally and walked up to Robert, closing the gap between them.
