Chapter 5: What Just Happened?

Kevin POV: 

It's been 3 days since my Mother's death and Father has acted like nothing has happened. He made Jake and John bury her in the garden, me on the other hand though, im still grieving her death, I haven't responded to anyone's messages i havent ate or slept all i've been doing is cry. I hear a knock on my door and say "come in" Jack comes in and sits down on the bed next to me while im facing the other way like a ball in my blanket, my voice raspy from crying and my eyes bloodshot with an terrible headache. "Hey little bro." Jack say with worry in his voice "uh you got a visit from your friend Radford, says he's worried about you cause you havent been answering anyone's messages, he just wants to check up on you." I dont really care but i need to let Radford know that i need some time to be alone. I sit up from my bed and stretch and rub my eyes "Let him in" Jack nods then goes to the door to open it letting Radford in, after Rad comes into the room Jack closes the door to give us privacy. "H-hey Kev uhm me and Streber are worried about you man, you havent responded to any of our messages and we just want to know if your ok to be honest." He fidgets with his hand while his eyes are glued to the floor. "im fine, i just want to be alone." I say to him with an attitude "w-well we just wanted to check up on you because were both worried and all" he's quiet for a second "do you want to talk about it? And if you do maybe we could make you feel better or help you get better y'know?" I dont know why but some part in me just snapped "I said I wanted to left alone Radford! What part of that do you not understand?! I dont want you or Streber's help! Just leave me alone!" I yell at him and point to the door, Radford is shocked he's never seen me upset before so its new to him, he starts to tear up "im sorry Kev i just wanted to help" he turns around and walks toward the door the stops before opening the door "dont expect anymore messages from me nor sympathy" He say this coldly then leaves slamming the door on his way out "Good! I dont need your stupid sympathy anyways!" 

Radford POV: 

I slam the door and clench my fists holding back my tears. I walk out of the palace and John ask me "you ok Rad?" He says I clench my fists "Im fine uncle" then walk away. 

Later during the night I talking with Ethan and Streber at there castle. "He snapped at me when i was trying to help him, I was trying to comfort him! and he just yelled at me! what a bitch!" Im walking back and forth ranting to Ethan and Streber about what happened with Kevin. 

"He's just not feeling his best maybe we need to give him some time to himself and think about life y'know" Streber said fidgeting with his hands. I look over to the both of them then sit down and sigh "Your right i dont know why i snapped like that, I just" I sigh "Im just worried about him" I say, Ethan puts his hand on top of mine "He just needs time" Suddenly we hear Streber say get up and walk to a near by window, open it and go to the edge of the open window "what are you doing?" Ethan says Streber looks back at us "im going to go talk to him" He says with a smirk "Are you kidding me?! Nightfall just came in! you could get caught and get killed!" Ethan starts yelling about the thing that can go wrong because the night just came in and its only 9:00 and the whole light kingdom is still awake, let alone still up and outside. Yet Streber doesnt listen and transforms into a bat and fly's away Ethan yells, Streber is stubborn like this and Ethan see's him like a brother. His whole family is dead except for Streber and his parents so there like family to him, Ethan's mad "He just stubborn ok? He'll be ok" I say Ethan turns around then sighs "you right i guess..." He crosses his arms "see" i say then it falls silent, I check my phone 9:05 I stuff it back into my pocket "I should get going before anyone suspects anything, Text me later?" I say Ethan looks at me "will do popcorn" He smirks then kisses my cheek, i smile and hug him "bye! Love you!" I wave then head toward the door "Love you to" 

Streber POV: 

I discreetly fly toward the Light kingdom's castle and then see his balcony window cracked open i slip in quietly. I hide in a dark corner of Kevin's room He's awake crying  while hugging a pillow i dont want to do this but i have to "Kevin?..  Are you ok?" I say from the corner of his room. Kevin stops crying and shoots up from laying down "Streber? w-where are you?"  I come out from the shadow and look at him then sit down next to him on his bed "Kevin whats wrong with you?" I say Kevin wipes away his tear and blow his nose "nothing is wrong with me, im fine, i just need some time to think ok?" he sounds annoyed when he says that. "Well if you were fine then why did you snap at Radford? You never snap your always a calm person Kev's. I like that about you y'know?" I regret that last part of what i said and i see Kevin snap to look at me in the eyes "L-like as a friend or more?" Kevin slids closer when he says that which make me panic and flustered. "U-uhm as a f-friend of course!" I panic but then Kevin places his hand on top of mine I take it away then Kevin grabs my shirt and pulls me in for a kiss. I dont pull away but i pull Kevin into a deeper kiss our tongues sliding into each others mouths. We sit there making out for 5 minutes then slowly pull away from each other both of us are flustered and i brush my hand threw my hair "Uhm so what was that?" I say awkwardly "S-sorry ive just really liked you for a while now and im just going threw a hard time right now and i just need someone to talk to and i dont know why i snapped and Radford and i dont know to be honest but i hope you feel the same way and if you dont then i hope it wont be awkward between us and that we can still be friends" Kevin says it shyly and kinda fast "K-kevin i like you to so no hard feeling but if you need someone to talks to me Radford and Ethan will be here if you need us" 

We talk some more and Kevin finally open up on why he's been sad lately we both cry and do stuff to make each other feel better eventually i go back to the castle to process what just happened since i cant sleep i text Kevin 

Streber: Does this mean were like, Dating?

Kevin: uh yea i guess this mean were officially boyfriends 

Streber: oh ok should we tell Ethan and Radford? 

Kevin: not yet lets keep this between us for now yea? 

Streber: ok, goodnight then 

Kevin: Goodnight 

Sorry for not uploading ive been trying to think of a plot for the chapter let alone the story and ive been busy 

i was suppose to upload this yesterday (07/04/24) but yea 

my DM'S will be open if you need to talk about anything or if you want to give me any recommendation on what to write!
