THE CAUSE AND THE EFFECT

"Y/n, your Godfather want to see you in his office today, will you able to get up?" Flaurence and their Mother look at Y/n bedridden from her illness.

"She was like this after you two went to the Forsaken Realm, is something happening?" Their Mother asked to check her daughter's temperature.

"I will be fine Mama..." She coughed. "Sorry brother but I can't go I am tired."

Before her brother could speak a communication magic appeared in front of Y/n.

"Little Y/n, sorry to bother you when you are sick but Wizard king forgot to tell to your brother that you don't need to come in his office you can just talk to him like this. And also if anyone there please may allow us to talk to little Y/n privately"

"Of course Mr. Marx" Flaurence and their Mother went out to Y/n's room.

"Little Y/n are you alright?! Do you need a Doctor to heal your sickness?!" The wizard king shows up pushing Marx aside.

"I will be alright Mr. Julius" Y/n smiled which she then coughed again immediately back to her emotionless state.

The Wizard king noticed it. "Marx I think we need to visit Y/n"

"Understood, we will be there in a minute little Y/n please wait for us".

After a minute the Wizard King burst the door open not enough to break it.

"LITTLE Y/N! GODFATHER IS HERE!" he dash at Y/n side.

"Mr. Julius" Y/n said before coughing.

"Please tell me what happened?"

-Y/n POV-

"Sorry for keeping it in a secret" I sighed not feeling the emotion of sadness.

"It is alright just tell us what happened " Marx state smiling to reassure me.

'When I was 5 years old before my heart and brain became in pain a dark shadow appeared in my face.

I make sure my brother is okay because I felt the intention of the shadow of taking something. I didn't know what it wanted but it suddenly stuck a needle at my heart sucking something.

I was still fine when the shadow became angry taking out the needle out of my heart that's when I felt my emotion being drained out.

When small feelings formed to me when we all talked that day it sucked something out from me again like the needle he stuck on my heart is to make a small hole for it to take my emotion freely.

It happened many times as I just let him do it. I sense that he was kind of lonely and jealous.

Before yesterday when we went to the forsaken realm a happiness formed into me, I know he was watching me but for the first time he let me feel again. When my laughter came out that was when I triggered him again sucking my emotion out of me. I was still okay getting used to it.

But when yesterday we went there again I felt the pride of my 'new friend'- no more like a commoner friend got a four leaf grimoire and the magic less got a grimoire. I just felt guilty being part of royalty while peasant and commoner being treated badly. So seeing the two makes me feel proud of them. I felt the shadow tried to sucked my pride out but I didn't let it take it this time so I blocked my heart.

I felt his anger which he then made me inhale some stardust which I started to feel dizzy. And now it makes me bedridden'.

I finished telling them what happened which Marx thought deeply about and Mr. Julius patted me.

"Thank you for telling me little Y/n, so do you still have the pride when he didn't successfully took it?"

I stare at him before clutching at my heart thinking my commoner friend has their prideful grimoire. I nodded avoiding to form a feeling. I am not ready to face the shadow again.

"But have you tried communicating to this shadow?"

I blankly stared at my Godfather and shook my head in denial.

"I don't know how to communicate with him, I tried once but he didn't show up."

"Figure it out little Y/n I know for sure he will try to communicate with you. Try making a deal with him if needed."

"Mr. Julius! That's so risky" Marx frowned looking worried.

"I'll try"

Marx sighed while Godfather smiled. "When you are trying to communicate with him, try also to think if you are ready to accept my offer" Mr. Julius said before standing.

"I already told you Mr. Julius, I don't want to be a Magic knight. If you want me to join the Magic knight please just make me your assistance just like Mr. Marx"

"You can be my assistant while being a magic knight, if you want, Marx will personally be your captain but you need to join one of the 7 captains first"

I sighed and thought carefully. "Is there a choice where I could join?"

Mr. Julius continued to smile as he told me a captain I could join.

"William Vangeance of the Golden Dawn, his member is full of nobles and royals but they all have an excellent mission. Nozel Silva of the Silver Eagle, same nobles and royalties but they showed great determination to protect. Fuegoleon Vermillion of the Crimson Lion, I know you already know him because he is the captain of your brother, he doesn't choose if they are noble or commoner as long as he sees determination on you but his member is full of male so it was rare if they get a female member. Charlotte Roselie of the Blue rose they are full females and mix commoner and nobles. Dorothy Unsworth of the Coral peacock she is a great captain for a lot of imagination and prideful members. Rill Boismortier the youngest Captain of Aqua deer he is a strong captain for his age so it was possible you can be captain as well. And Also Yami Sukehiro of black bull his member is full of chaotic people but I trust him. Also I don't recommend you to Jack the Ripper of the green mantis but if you want to join him I won't stop you"

"Thanks for the full detail Mr. Julius but I already know who to join when you mention her name. I will join the Blue Rose my cousin will be my captain"

"Great, I will tell your cousin when I get back and also you don't need to tell it to your parents they already want you to join the magic knight"

I nodded and Mr Julius and Mr. Marx left leaving the sick me.
