About a weeks after the death of her mother Nancy had been moved to an orphanage since she had no other family members. It was a very small room that she shared with 4 girls and 5 boys. The food was bad and the women who worked there were mean.
They weren't aloud to go outside unless they were taking out the trash. "I don't want to be here anymore" Nancy said looking at a little read headed boy who slept on the bed across from her named Hugo. Hugo looked up and nodded his head in agreement.
"I wish I still had my books, but I lost them in the house fire that had taken my mother and father" Hugo said with tears forming in his eyes.He had the darkest brown eyes Nancy had ever seen. They were all most black. Nancy reached down under her bed and pulled out an old Harry Potter book her mom had bought her.
"Um..do u like Harry Potter? Because if so you can read this one. I've read it over 100 time anyway maybe." Nancy handed him over the book with a shy smile. He took the book from her hand and returned the same shy smile. "Thank you, nancy." He put the book under his bed.
"Goodnight Hugo"
