Rosé and I were engrossed in our work when Mr. Jeon and his personal assistant Jake walked into our department. The staff stood up to greet him, and Jake, waved at us.
"I have an important announcement to make. I am considering launching a new product and I need your ideas. Each department should come up with their own ideas for the product and explain how it will benefit our company. You can work on this project either individually or in teams. Present your ideas to me, and I will choose the most impressive one."
Mr. Jeon paused and made eye contact with me, as me and Rosé exchanged glances with each other.
"The manager of your department will review your ideas initially, and if he approves of them, they will be brought to my attention".
"Thank you," Mr. Jeon said before leaving the department. I observed Rosé with her arms crossed.
"The manager will never approve of our ideas," Rosé commented as I sat in the chair and rolled my eyes.
"Hey, Yn, look, Yumi is heading to Mr. Lee's office. I bet she's going to request something, and he'll likely approve it," Rosé said, eyeing Yumi walking into the office.
"He's a bit... you know," I said, gazing at Rosé.
"What, hot?" she asked, to which I made a disgusted face.
"Flirty," I clarified.
"Not with us, though. He's all about Yumi because she's always all over him," Rosé said, focusing on her computer screen.
"Isn't he married?" I asked, and Rosé nodded.
We returned to work, but Rosé soon knocked on my desk, prompting me to look at her.
"I have an idea. Let's go to Mr. Lee's office," she suggested, getting me to stand up.
"But why?" I questioned.
"Just come," she urged, pulling me along by the arm.
We entered Mr.Lee's office as rosé smiled widely at him
"Good morning Mr.Lee", she said loudly as I looked at her and she gestured for me to smile and i was acting along with her.
"It's afternoon", Mr.Lee said making rosé's smile fade he looked back at the file in his hand.
"Mr.Lee come on aren't you going to look at two pretty women in front of you", rosé said raising her one hand in style
"Just speak", he ignored rosé and spoke while still seeing his file.
She sat down and tugged on my shirt to sit down along with her as I agreed and settled down.
"Mr Lee can you approve our work this time please?", rosé pleaded as Mr Lee threw the file away and looked at us with his eyebrows raised.
"Yes Mr.Lee we won't disappoint you come on", I said
"Ah I can't risk giving you any presentation", he scoffed
"Aren't you going to give it to yumi again?", rosé asked clearly annoyed
"Of course I will give it to her", he said leaning back on his chair
"Trying to get in her panites", rosé mumbled as I pressed my lips in a thin line trying not to laugh.
"That's none of your business", he spat
"It is because you guys are doing that in office hours like flirting with each other and also yumi coming inside your office at least five times a day", I said
"Still I won't give you any presentation", he declared
Suddenly rosé stood up and made me stand up by pulling my arms.
"I guess we will try next time", she said with pout when we turned around something clicked me I stopped making rosé confused.
I separated my hands from Rosé's and stood in front of Mr. Lee again as he sat focused on the magazine.
Rosé quickly joined me and mouthed, "What?" As I nodded to her, I took out my phone from my pocket and found the photo of Mr. Lee sleeping. I showed it to Rosé, who smirked.
"Look, Rosie, I found a photo of Mr. Lee," I said as she covered her mouth in surprise.
Mr. Lee noticed and asked, "What photo?" I pushed my phone towards him, and he examined it before looking back at us.
Rosé commented, "You know how serious Mr. Jeon is about his work, right?" pretending to be shocked.
I added, "Imagine if the manager himself was caught sleeping during office hours." Mr. Lee was already sweating.
"Do you remember the time a manager got fired for being irresponsible and someone told Mr. Jeon about it?" I nodded to Rosé.
Mr. Lee then said with a smirk, "Oh, you guys, I deleted it," and handed me back my phone.
"Why did you even let him take your phone? Are you that dumb?" Rosé scolded me,
"I didn't realize he was that smart," i said trying to hold back my laughter.
"No worries, Mr. Lee," Rosé said as she showed him a photo on her phone.
He shouted, "You guys are not playing fair." Rosé then revealed another picture of Yumi sitting on his lap in the office. "Buy one get one free," she said casually.
"Fine, he still doesn't want to agree to our deal," I began before Mr. Lee cut me off, pleading,
"No, please, I don't want to get fired. Show me your ideas."
"But I will approve them only if they are going to be beneficial to our company", he said
