Location: Xandia Academy
Aera and Hyunjin stood before Xandia Academy, their gazes sharp and unwavering. A collective sigh escaped their lips as they entered the grand hall. All eyes turned towards them – the only new students in prestigious Section A. This section, reserved for the elite demon hunters, held rankings from A (most powerful) to D (least powerful).
As they navigated the bustling hall, Hyunjin's eyes caught a flash of movement. His twin sister, Aera, followed his gaze to see the familiar sight of Heli and Khan locked in a playful scuffle.
"Boys," Aera called out, her voice laced with amusement, "done already?"
The twins turned, Heli practically bouncing towards them in greeting. Hyunjin, ever the more reserved one, simply raised an eyebrow.
"Do you know where Class A is?" Hyunjin inquired.
Khan grinned. "Actually, we're all in the same class! Come on, twins, follow us."
Aera nodded, a flicker of anxiety crossing her features – a fleeting emotion she quickly suppressed. Unlike Hyunjin, who could openly integrate into Xandia Academy, Aera harbored a secret. A secret that could get her ostracized, even eliminated. She was a rare breed – a mystical vampire, the rarest of their kind. Her powers were potent but wildly unpredictable, making them a dangerous liability. To mask her true nature and contribute to the fight against demons, Aera's path diverged from the norm.
While Hyunjin embraced the traditional methods taught at Xandia Academy, Aera would rely on a different weapon – a katana. Today, her destination wasn't just the uniform room; it was a quest to acquire the blade that would become an extension of herself, a silent guardian against the darkness she couldn't fully control.
Separating from Hyunjin and the others, Aera reached the highest-ranked room. Here, the Academy's elite – the Hashira – awaited. Each a master swordsman specializing in a unique breathing technique to combat demons. Aera knocked, and the door creaked open to reveal a towering figure – Gyeomi, the Stone Hashira.
Gyeomi's gaze softened as he saw Aera. "Ah, you must be Hwang Aera," he rumbled, his voice deep and strong.
Aera, ever reserved, simply nodded in acknowledgment.
Gyeomi ushered her in with a warm smile. As she entered, the room fell silent. Nine pairs of eyes, each belonging to a Hashira, scrutinized the newcomer. Their keen senses picked up on the air of mystery that clung to Aera, the coldness in her gaze belying her exquisite beauty.
Aera bowed deeply, her voice a quiet murmur. "Konichiwa, My name is Hwang Aera."
Aera offered a small nod in response, her composure unwavering. Each Hashira introduced themselves, their names and titles echoing in the tense atmosphere. Despite their outward stoicism, Aera could sense their curiosity, their veiled assessment. They recognized the cold aura that emanated from her, a stark contrast to the warmth radiating from Gyeomi.
Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, a stoic man with long, dark hair, inclined his head in a silent greeting. Iguro Obanai, the Serpent Hashira, a pale young man with a snake coiling around his neck, eyed her with a mix of suspicion and intrigue.
Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, a hotheaded man with wild white hair and a scarred face, scoffed. "Another pretty face for the Academy to fawn over? What use is she if she can't even breathe?"
