The lunch bell chimed, sending a wave of hungry students flooding the cafeteria. Aera, Hyunjin, Heli, Sooha, and Khan found a secluded table, the morning's duel heavy in the air. Despite the victory against Jennie and Yoongi, exhaustion clung to the twins like a shadow.

Heli, his golden eyes gleaming with admiration, nudged Aera. "Nice fight, twins," he said. "Couldn't believe you took down the king and queen."

Aera offered a tired nod, her usual icy demeanor softened by fatigue. Hyunjin mirrored his sister's response, a faint grimace twisting his features. The battle had been exhilarating, but the after-effects were undeniable.
Khan, a playful glint in his eyes, leaned towards Hyunjin. "Let's forget about the fight for a while," he said.
"Remember, full moon party tonight at the Blood Moon Pack house. You guys in?"
Hyunjin chuckled, a hint of his usual bravado returning. "Thanks for the invite, Khan, but you forget. I'm a vampire too, remember? Besides, Mr. Hwang has a... fiance we need to meet tonight."
Sooha's frown deepened. "But Hyunjin, he can't just marry any pureblood," she argued. "He already has a mate."
Aera, her voice laced with a hint of bitterness, chimed in, "Royal standards, Sooha. Always meddling in personal lives."
Solon, the ever-stoic one, shook his head. "That man just knows how to make everything complicated," he muttered.
Xia squeezed Aera's hand reassuringly. "Let's not waste another thought on him," she said gently. "There are more important things right now."
Just then, a sharp yank sent a jolt of pain through Aera's scalp. She whipped around to see Jimin, a smug smirk plastered on his face, holding a clump of her hair.
"Hey!" Hyunjin roared, his voice laced with fury. "Leave her alone, Jimin!"
Jimin's smirk faltered slightly under Hyunjin's fiery gaze. "Why should I?" he retorted, his voice laced with malice. "She's just a half-breed, not worthy of respect."
A wave of anger surged through Hyunjin. Before he could react, a swirling vortex of fire erupted at his fingertips, casting an ominous glow over the cafeteria. The temperature in the room seemed to rise noticeably, sending shivers down the spines of nearby students.
Jimin's eyes widened in terror. He fumbled with Aera's hair, dropping it like a burning ember. "I-I was just messing around," he stammered, his voice barely a whisper.
Aera, her eyes blazing with a cold fury that rivaled Hyunjin's flames, stood up abruptly. But before she could unleash a verbal tirade, Hyunjin wrapped a comforting arm around her.
"Don't waste your energy on him, Aera," he said, his voice low and controlled, the fire at his fingertips flickering out. "He's not worth it."
Aera leaned into her brother's embrace, drawing strength from his unwavering presence. The cafeteria held its breath, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. Finally, Aera took a deep breath, forcing down her anger. With a withering glare at Jimin, she sat back down, her icy demeanor returning.
"Come on," she muttered, her voice tight with emotion. "Let's just get out of here."
Hyunjin gave his sister a reassuring squeeze before following her out of the cafeteria. The rest of their group, their expressions a mixture of anger and concern, got up to follow. The bullying attempt had been thwarted, but the bitter aftertaste lingered. Yet, amidst the frustration, a silent understanding bloomed between the twins. They had each other, and that was all that truly mattered.
In the Hashira's Room
A sharp knock echoed through the Hashira's private room. The occupants, engrossed in their own conversations, exchanged puzzled glances before answering the door. To their surprise, the entire group of friends stood on the other side, their faces a mixture of anger and determination.
"What brings you all here?" Gyeomi, the Stone Hashira, asked, his voice booming through the room.
Heli, the most vocal of the group, stepped forward. "Jimin just bullied Aera again," he explained, his voice filled with righteous indignation. "He pulled her hair and called her a half-breed."
A collective gasp rippled through the Hashira. Even the usually stoic Giyu Tomioka seemed disturbed by the news.
"That little brat," Sanemi growled, his face contorted in anger. "I'll teach him a lesson he won't forget."
Aera, her voice cold as ice, spoke for the first time. "No, Sanemi," she said firmly. "I can handle him."
Iguro, the Serpent Hashira, raised an eyebrow. "You sure about that, little one? He's got connections."
Aera met his gaze unflinchingly. "I'm more than capable of taking care of myself," she retorted, her voice laced with a hint of defiance.
Gyeomi, sensing the tension in the room, intervened. "Perhaps a little training wouldn't hurt," he suggested, his voice gentle but firm. "Iguro, why don't you spar with Aera? It'll help her improve her fighting skills."
Iguro, surprised by the suggestion, hesitated for a moment before nodding in agreement. "Fine," he grumbled. "But don't expect me to go easy on you."
Aera's eyes flashed with determination. "I wouldn't expect anything less," she replied coolly.
With that, the two of them stepped into the training area, the rest of the group watching with a mix of anticipation and concern. The training session that followed was intense, Iguro's relentless attacks pushing Aera to her limits. But Aera, fueled by her anger and determination, held her ground, her icy abilities proving to be a formidable weapon against Iguro's serpentine attacks.
As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the training arena, the sparring session came to an end. Iguro, breathing heavily, acknowledged Aera's strength with a grudging nod. Aera, her body aching but her spirit unbroken, returned the gesture with a curt nod.
The group returned to the Hashira's room, the atmosphere heavy with the aftermath of the day's events. Aera, her icy facade momentarily shattered, leaned against Hyunjin, seeking comfort in his warmth. Hyunjin, sensing her vulnerability, wrapped an arm around her, offering silent support.
Gyeomi, his eyes filled with concern, spoke up. "I know this has been a tough day for you both," he said gently. "But remember, you're not alone. We're here for you."
The others nodded in agreement, their faces a mixture of sympathy and determination. Aera and Hyunjin, their spirits slowly recovering, offered grateful smiles. As the day drew to a close, they left the Hashira's room, their resolve strengthened by the support of their friends and the promise of a new day.
