Haerin's POV

The days following our successful presentation buzzed with a sense of achievement. Walking through the halls, I couldn't help but notice the nods and smiles from classmates and teachers alike. It felt good to be recognized for our hard work.

At lunchtime, Danielle, Hanni, and I gathered at our usual spot by the window. The topic of discussion naturally turned to our next project for history class.

"So, what's the plan for our next history project?" Danielle asked eagerly, flipping through her notebook. "Mr. Peterson mentioned something about exploring local history."

Hanni nodded thoughtfully. "We should pick something that really stands out. Maybe a landmark or a significant event."

"I heard there's an old theater downtown with a rich history," I suggested, recalling a passing mention from a previous class. "Maybe we could delve into its past and see what we find."

Danielle and Hanni exchanged a glance before nodding in agreement. "That sounds intriguing," Danielle said. "Let's look into it."

As we continued discussing ideas, I felt a sense of camaraderie growing between us. We were a good team, each bringing something different to the table.

Hanni's POV

The next morning, we met with Mr. Peterson after class to discuss our ideas for the local history project. He listened attentively as we presented our suggestions, nodding thoughtfully.

"These are excellent choices," he said, his eyes twinkling with interest. "Each of these topics has the potential to uncover rich stories and insights about our community's past."

After some deliberation, we settled on exploring the history of the old theater downtown. Mr. Peterson encouraged us to visit the local historical society for resources and offered to connect us with residents who could provide firsthand accounts.

"We want you to dive deep into this," he emphasized. "Connect the past with the present. Show how these historical elements have shaped our town and its people."

Leaving his classroom, we felt energized and eager to begin our research. I suggested we visit the historical society that afternoon to get a head start, and we all agreed it was a good idea.

Danielle's POV

After a productive afternoon at the historical society, I decided to stop by the school library to pick up a few more books on local history. Balancing a stack of books in my arms, I navigated the bustling hallway, lost in thought about our upcoming project.

Suddenly, someone bumped into me, causing a few books to slip from my grasp. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" a voice exclaimed.

I looked up to see Minji, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "No worries," I replied with a smile, crouching down to gather the fallen books.

Minji knelt beside me, hastily helping to collect the scattered books. "I wasn't paying attention," she admitted sheepishly. "Are you okay?"

"Totally fine," I assured her, handing her a couple of books. "Just lost in thought. We've got a lot on our plates with this project, huh?"

Minji nodded eagerly, her glasses slipping slightly down her nose. "I'm really excited about it. The history of that old theater is fascinating."

"It really is," I agreed, grateful for the chance encounter. "Well, I better get these books back to the library. See you around!"

As Minji waved goodbye, I couldn't help but smile to myself. Our project was bringing us together in unexpected ways, and I was looking forward to seeing where our research would lead us next.
