Every three standard calendar years, chefs from countries and kingdoms around the world fight for a spot on the internationally successful TV show EAT THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! (ETEW). If you can make it onto ETEW, your business is almost guaranteed to be successful for the rest of its structural life, but who goes on ETEW just for a featured slot? You're here to win!
After getting through the rigorous local auditions and making it to nationals, your team of three has been selected to represent your nation as one of the twelve selected contenders for the GREAT PRIZE!
What is the great prize? Usually a bunch of money (although you hope the conversion rate to your currency won't reduce the sum in any way), but also a fully paid reimagining of the winning restaurant/food truck/bakery/business in an episode of the Newasci television series Restaurantopolis. There are other unofficial and unendorsed "prizes" that tend to follow as well: being honored by your country, possible reality TV offers, cookbook and other merchandise possibilities — one team even got adopted into the priesthood of their country's dominant religion. That was slightly controversial, but hey! Those who win this show gain favor across all fields.
