Name - Humans
Physical description - Humans are bipedal beings who typically stand between 5 and 6 feet tall, with male humans taller on average than female humans. Humans have delicate, soft flesh that comes in a variety of shades, typically browns but occasionally more vibrant colors if they have other races in their genealogy. Humans have hair on top of their heads, usually grown and styled to express themselves. Human hair tends to be brown, black, auburn, or blonde (growing gray and then white in later years), but those with other races in their families are known to have more colorful hair. Humans have four fingers and a thumb, each marked with a unique fingerprint formed in the womb. Humans have a variety of features, typically based on the region of the world they are from. These features include eye shapes, sharpness of teeth, and ear shape.
Lifespan - 75-80 years
-- Humans typically live around 80 years, although this rate is rapidly rising due to the expansion of technology and the popularity/normalization of life extension elixirs among humans. (Humans commonly have a fear of death and obsession with legacy, making them a target audience for life extension elixirs.) The common human life cycle begins with a human being carried in the womb of a female human for around nine months. While the human is an infant they are extremely helpless, weak, and vulnerable and regarded globally as one of the most defenseless creatures, therefore making crimes against human infants particularly heinous. Humans enjoy their youth phase from the ages of 5 to 21 and are considered adults until the age of 72, at which point they are considered elderly. When elderly, humans may revert to their infant stage of dependence on a caretaker.

Reputation - Humans are one of the most common races on earth and, by some streak of luck, are typically respected and treated with privilege. Humans have globalized appeal (although this has begun to be called into question over the last few decades) and are prevalent in media. 67% of movie stars are human, and only in the past few decades has there been a shift in representative inclusivity for other races making up large portions of media outside of supportive roles. Humans are amicable, although somehow, they always seem to gain the awe of everyone in a room by doing the bare minimum. Most races admire humans and have adapted to meet their standards of appearance. The custom of taking a "human form" to better communicate/relate with humans is an ancient practice — and it has been questioned by many in recent times. (Most notably, the orc nation of Newas after a militant anti-human political party overtook its government.) Most historians agree the prevalence of humans and the benevolent attitude toward them comes from the historical belief humans must be protected and flattered or they would be wiped out due to their lack of ability. (AKA, everyone pitied them and thought they were cute.)
Naming conventions - Humans give their children a personal first name (and possibly middle name) so they can be identified as an individual. The majority of human families share last names, which are agreed upon by the two parents upon marriage, either by creating a last name, joining the humans' individual last names, or selecting a last name from one of the parents.
Stereotypes - Cool, suave, always (think they) know what to do, a bit egotistical and airheaded. Fashion-forward, trendy. Trustworthy. Delicate, must be protected, easily hurt, weak.
View of other races - Humans usually act positively toward other races, sometimes with a borderline-offensive interest with them if they've grown up in a human-only area. ("Ohmygosh, you're so pretty! Can I touch your horns?") They mean well, and most beings are patient with them, explaining themselves. Integrated humans are often one of the most accepting beings. It's common to find a token human in friend groups, as they like to be involved and learn about other races.
Humans historically have conflict with bug people, as they do not like bugs, and bug people are giant versions of bugs. Humans have, in the past few generations, developed severely damaged relationships with the orc race. Many humans carry a fear of orcs, assuming that orcs dislike them.
Abilities - Humans have no known abilities.
Cultural values/traits - Learning about others, even if sometimes they just want to be included. Leaving their mark on people and places is very important, as humans heavily value legacy and being remembered. Humans may shove themselves into places, conversations, or relationships if they don't feel like they will be remembered and long to feel appreciated. Humans are highly competitive because of this and might not have problems being ruthless in workplaces or other spaces where their reputation/legacy might be at stake. Being a film actor is a highly sought-after career for humans since they are immortalized visually and audibly on the screen.
Humans tend to value making things and creating things as well. Although this is tied into their "leave your mark" drive, they also have an extreme desire to make things, even if they just keep their creations to themselves.
Typical magic practices - Humans typically practice wand magic, as it is one of the fastest forms of magic. Humans recite or mouth a spell and direct the magic toward an object. Spells can be enhanced with wand flourishes. Humans tend to compete over whose wand is more pleasing to the eye or representative of their personality, and wand customization is common. Wand-centric influencers are very popular among humans; wands are regarded as a fashion item.
Nation of Origin / Commonly found in... - Inoo'a (Nation 23), Zhliedyskovia (Nation 22), globally dispersed.
-- Inoo'a is often regarded as the origin place of humans. Humans tend to populate the eastern nations more heavily than the western, but they are everywhere nonetheless.
Common Language(s) - Human tongues (English, Spanish, etc.), Tomatow
