His name ignites a flame, a secret crave
Oh Carl, if he only knew
His name sets off an amazing feel
In my dreams, I whisper his name
Wishing he knew, feeling the same
But reality strikes, harsh and unkind
He'll never be mine, fate ties that bind
An age difference, lies between our hearts
And he is married, our worlds apart
Yet I still dream, and silently pine
For Carl, the one who'll never be mine
Carl, if you knew how much I care
How often in my thoughts you're there
In fantasies where you are mine
A love so pure, a love divine
