6 - Embarrassment, Jealousy and Drama

It has been a fantastic 5 weeks since working for the boys. Ryan has tried to coax me into being a part of a few investigations, but I have sworn that while my foot is in a cast that I will not be going with them.

Today, I woke up feeling happy. I grabbed my phone and saw that I had two missed calls from Ryan, so I called back.

"Hey care bear, how are you today?" Ryan greeted happily.

"Woah, you're in a great mood," I expressed.

"Yeah, just feeling good lately, I might also be talking to someone," Ryan said excitedly

"Hey Ry, that's amazing! Who is she? Is she nice? Does she believe in the paranormal?" I questioned

"That's a later question, we are taking things slow and still just talking, but they are amazing to talk to. We just have really good questions, you know?" Ryan said gleefully.

"I'm so Harry for you, Ry, really," I said "soooo I missed two calls, everything all good?" I added.

"Oh yeah, so just making sure you know you have a cast appointment in one hour to see if it can come off," Ryan reminded me

"Fuck! I totally forgot, oh my God the place is 40 minutes away" I stood up and begun frantically going through my wardrobe to get changed

"I'll see you in 10 and we can leave" Ryan said

"No riv?" I replied

"He is still asleep so let's see if we can surprise him with a castless foot" Ryan laughed back.

"Okay awesome, see you soon" I hang up abruptly and immediately get dressed into a pair of Rivers black sweats that I stole and my favourite blue cropped hoodie.

After a few minutes, I put my vans in my bag in hopes that I can wear both after this appointment. I head outside and hop down the stairs, sitting on the last one, waiting for Ryan.

Five minutes later, Ryan pulls up in the driveway and I rush over and jump in the car.

"Do you think we will be late!" I shout a little too loud

"Cora jesus, too loud haha, calm down we are on time" Ryan said laughing as we drove off.

"Ryan's got a girlfriend, Ryan's got a girlfriend" I say mockingly in a playful manner.

"Nuh uh, nope, do not" Ryan said with a serious but silly facial expression.

The next 40 minutes were filled with laughter and daily small talk until we got into my appointment.

"Ry, can you come in with me? I'll be so sad if I can't get this cast off" I say a little down.

"Of course, anything for my care bear" Ryan said pulling me into a side hug.

We both waited in the lobby until a man in a Gray uniform called out my name.

"Cora Grace" I stood up and looked at Ryan signalling him to follow me.

We walked down the hallway and into a small room and sat down on the chairs. After some small talk, the doctor had taken off my cast and began to examine my foot.
