5 - First Day

*Cora's Pov*

I wake up to the sun shining bright through the crack in my curtains. For a brief moment, I stared at my phone as if i was expecting a call. Suddenly, it rang. Weird, I thought to myself.

"H-hello?" I grumbled, trying to wake up.

"Sorry Cora, did I wake you?" I could tell that I was talking with River.

"No, no, I just woke up a few seconds ago," I said, yawning "what's up?" I asked

"Well, I just wanted to welcome you to the team, Ryan and Wyatt told me about you working for us. Man he is really lucky you said yes considering how much he just blew your old job." River said with a laugh at the end

"I know, he was so full on" I replied

"He can defend himself but I would never let anyone get away with speaking to you like that either, you're too.." River said trailing off

"Too what" I asked

"Um, you're too prescious" River said.

It was a good thing that River couldn't see you through the phone because he had made you blush hard.

"Thanks Riv" I said quietly. "So when do I start?" I asked.

"Well, if you want, I can pick you up, we can grab a coffee and head back to ours so I can show you the editing programs we use, bring some clothes and a charger in case you stay the night" River said piping up

"Yeah sure" I replied.

I gave River my address and packed a pair of black ripped jeans, a plain white shirt, a white sweater, grey sweatpants, a pair of underwear and my phone charger while I was waiting. I changed into a basic pair of black sweats and a green shirt and put on my pair of Docs. After 15 minutes, there was a car horn from outside.

I make my way outside and see River sitting in his vw waving at me. River then nods his head and hops out of the car making his way over to me.

"Don't even think about hopping down those stairs Red" River said smirking.

"Red, so I have a nickname now?" I questioned giggling.

"Yup, gave it to you myself" he said smiling.

River took my duffle bag from my arm and then picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. The feeling of being so close to River made me Red in the face.

"You're blushing you know" River smirked, looking at me as he sat me down in the car seat, causing me to blush even more.

"No I'm not" I said, looking out the window.

"Oh I noticed on your instagram that you posted a vanilla chai latte with almond milk, that's why I was a little late, I got you one" Riv said with a sweet expression on his face.

"Thanks River, although I didn't give you my instagram, you been creepin?" I playfully smirk causing a pale shade of pink to spread across his face. "Now who's blushing" I laugh making River turn and stared at the road.

"Am not" he laughed "Let's play some music, here put your phone on" he added, handing me the cord.

I plug my phone in.

"No clue what is going to play, my playlist is kinda polyjamorous" I laugh

The music starts playing and your face burns Red, out of every song, out of every line, every sentence that can be played you hear "Shut your mouth and run me like a river, choke this love 'til the veins start to shiver" you choke out of shock and quickly skip to the next song. You knew that both of your faces were burning red.
