3rd Person
"Mizumi, don't leave yet. I need to talk to you." Aizawa says after class one day.
"Yes, sir." Mizumi says, ever the obedient student.
"Oooooh, someone's in trouble~" Ashido giggles teasingly.
"You're dismissed. You can leave now." Aizawa's tired eyes narrow at Mizumi's nosy group of friends as they attempt to stick around waiting for her.
"Don't wait up, I'll meet you guys later." Mizumi says. Her friends leave the classroom and she's left alone with her teacher. "What can I do for you, Mr. Aizawa?"
"I'll make this quick. You're going to have a visitor after school today, so don't be surprised when someone is waiting for you when you get back to the dorms."
"Oh? Who is it?" Mizumi tilts her head to the side with wide eyes, reminding her teacher of a curious puppy.
"I was told to let to be a surprise. But I can tell you it's probably not who you think it is."
"Huh? Why is it a surprise?"
"You'll see. That's all for now. Go meet up with your classmates. I'll see you in class tomorrow. "

"What did Mr. Aizawa want?" Ashido asks as the friend group walks home after class. Shinso has joined up with the group and is listening quietly as they all walk home together.
"He said I'm gonna have a visitor in the dorms later, but he wouldn't tell me who it was." Mizumi explains. "He also said it's probably not who I think it is. I wonder what that means..." Mizumi is still lost in thought as she pushes open the door to the dorm, curious as to who her visitor could be.

"Siren, there you are. It's been such a long time."
Mizumi's eyes widen and her smile fades quickly as a familiar voice calls her name. Mizumi knows that voice. She haven't seen this woman in over a year, and she thought she was never going to see her again. She hasn't heard that voice in over a year, and hasn't thought about this person since she first moved into the dorm.
"Mom?"
"I'm here, baby." The woman stands up, opening her arms as she walks towards her daughter.
She looks like a slightly older version of her kid, but her dark hair is streaked with gray in a few spots, making her look a bit like a beautiful middle-aged witch.
"What are you doing here?" Mizumi's voice is shaky as she drops her bag and starts backing away slowly, an unreadable expression on her face.
"What, no hug?"
"Why are you here?!" Mizumi says a little louder as her breathing gets faster.
"Now, now. Is that any way to talk to your mother?"
"You're no mother, you're a monster. Get away from me!" Mizumi backs all the way to the door, her hands trembling in fear.
"Come now, darling. That's all in the past. I've changed, I promise. Let me prove it to you."
"Leave me alone!" Mizumi opens the door behind her and takes off running across campus. Her friends call after her and a few people try to stop her, but Shinso steps forward.
"Let me handle this." Shinso says, stopping the others from following his girl.

"I knew I'd find you out here." Mizumi jumps at the sudden sound of her boyfriend's voice. "Are you okay? What happened back there?"
She sniffles in response, clutching her knees to her chest. She had run all the way into the forested area and had stopped when her legs wouldn't carry her anymore. She now sits under a tree, trying not to break down crying as the traumatic memories of her past come flooding back.
Shinso sits down, putting his arm around her. "Do you want to talk about it? You don't have to if you don't want to, but I'm here. You know you're safe with me."
Mizumi leans into him as she debates whether or not to talk about it. She remembers telling Kaminari a few things, but nothing this serious. Otherwise, she has never spoken of her past to anyone, and isn't sure if it's really okay to let it out with her boyfriend. They've only been dating for a few weeks and she doesn't want to scare him off with her family problems, so she doesn't talk at first. The two of them sit in a comfortable silence as Mizumi mentally prepares herself for what she needs to say.
After a few minutes of quiet, she finally opens her mouth, starting off slowly as she tells her boyfriend everything her mother had put her through. His eyes widen as he listens to her talk about how her mother abused her over the years. He knew she was raised with the intention that she was going to be a villain, but she had never mentioned what a monster her mother was at home.
How could anyone treat a child like that? Shinso wonders. He stays quiet as he listens to her and by the time she's done talking, she's sobbing uncontrollably into his chest. He rubs her back, encouraging her to let it all out. Shinso knows Mizumi is generally a very happy person and he would never guess that she had been through so much.
How has she not become bitter and angry after all that?

"I'm sorry, Hitoshi. I never told you any of this because I didn't want to scare you off, or have you only stay with me because you felt bad for me..." Mizumi whimpers. "I wanted you to see me for who I'm trying to become and not who I used to be."
"It's alright, Kitty. I know you're a hero and you're not like her. I could never see you as a villain."
"Thanks, Toshi." Mizumi smiles a little, calming down as Shinso comforts her.
"Are you ready to go home?"
Mizumi sniffles, wiping her eyes as she sits up. "Yeah, I think so."
