"How long are you gonna stand there?", Gawin winced at the baritone voice from his bedroom door

"How long are you gonna stand there?", Gawin winced at the baritone voice from his bedroom door. Gawin, who was enjoying a quiet night under the warm moon, had to be disturbed by the figure of his guard. Like any other night, Gawin was always awake, unable to fall asleep. His nerves shut down but his brain kept running. Making it difficult for him to enter dreamland every day.

"What are you doing? Not sleeping?", asked Gawin from the balcony of his room. Leaning on his side with his arms crossed, he stared at the strapping figure still standing faithfully in the doorway. Gawin felt disturbed because he was busy staring at the soot-black sky. Infinite, empty. He enjoyed staring, his eyes blank, even though his mind was raging. The breeze that night could not even make Gawin fall asleep. His brain was noisy. Always.

"I should have asked you that", Gawin scoffed at the man's answer. Rolling his eyes lazily, he turned his body to show his back. He put his arm back on the balcony railing. Gawin didn't care. He was angry because, firstly, Joss had not knocked on his door. Second, Joss had frightened him and third, Joss was bothering him. As if he cared.

"It's my turn tonight"

"to take care of you", his personal bodyguard's explanation unfortunately brought a blush to both of Gawin's cheeks. He looked away as Joss moved closer, leaning his back against the balcony railing. He snuggled up next to Gawin, looking at the contents of Gawin's overly tidy room. Joss guessed that Gawin hadn't even laid his body down on the bed. There were no wrinkled sheets and the pile of pillows was still in place.

"The others are just guarding outside, why did you come in?", asked Gawin, still throwing away his heated face.

"You haven't even touched the bed. It's past midnight", Joss didn't answer, instead making a comment. Gawin stared at the contents of his room, which felt empty. His personal bodyguard was not wrong, in fact Gawin had not touched his bed since arriving at the residence. Not even sat down.

Joss walked back into Gawin's room, ignoring the puzzled look. On a whim, Joss sat down comfortably on Gawin's large bed. He leaned back slightly, his palms resting on the soft bed. He turned to stare intently at the figure that still stood faithfully on the balcony, alone in the night breeze.

"Come here," Joss called briefly. There were no manners. What bodyguard would speak so casually? Joss's look became even more piercing at the refusal. For Gawin was still loyal to the spot and actually looked down at Joss. Gawin was too lazy to react to his bodyguard's behavior.

"Gawin", short, but successful in making Gawin's body tremble. Joss's sharp eyes never left Gawin. The one being stared at, quickly gave up, not wanting to argue. Carefully, he stepped forward and stopped in front of Joss who was still sitting on the bed. He blamed Joss for turning Gawin into a submissive child so easily.

"Where was the wound?"

"The doctor has already checked it."

"Where?", again Gawin was forced, sulking. Why would his bodyguard bother to find out. After all, Gawin's wound had been cleaned by his personal doctor earlier. Gawin reluctantly pulled up the hem of the shirt he was wearing. It revealed a bit of his abdominal muscles and slender waist. A long cut wound was imprinted on Gawin's waist. It was still quite red although shallow.

"Why don't you bandage it?"

"No need", Gawin replied curtly. It was indeed him who refused when his personal doctor wanted to bandage Gawin's wound earlier. Gawin just didn't want the hassle. He was too lazy to keep the bandages dry and didn't want to go back and forth changing them. He felt fine anyway.

"Ah! It hurts!!!", Gawin whined, resisting Joss's large hand that was insolently pressing on the wound on his waist. Damn it. Please remind Gawin not to punch his personal bodyguard's handsome face. Joss, who was being stared at, looked down at Gawin standing in front of him instead. The annoying grin made Gawin really want to punch Joss in the face.

"Who told you to be the superhero?"

"I should be the one that protects you, not the other way"

"But then you'll die", Gawin replied lightly. Joss was annoyed by Gawin's tone. Joss didn't like it. Gawin took it too lightly. Joss's big hands were still firmly gripping Gawin's slender waist. Joss pulled Gawin's body hard, making him wobble until Gawin fell into Joss's lap. Gawin, unprepared, was surprised to find himself holding his weight. Both of Gawin's hands pressed down on Joss's shoulders to keep him from falling further.

"Joss! What the fuck?!"

"Language," Joss said. Gawin pouted unconsciously. It was Joss after all. He was baiting Gawin into saying something rude. It was strange, Gawin couldn't argue. He still stared irritably into the brown eyes of his personal bodyguard, trying not to lose.

"A stab won't make me die"

"But you on the other hand, even a paper cut will be the death of me", Gawin was stunned at Joss's words below him. Joss's gaze on him softened. Gawin did not know what to say. His heart suddenly felt strange. Joss cupped one side of Gawin's sweet face. Joss's thumb stroked the firm jaw of the boy he held in his lap.

"What do you think you are doing? Don't ever protect me again," Joss continued, remembering the incident earlier that afternoon. Where Gawin had tried to protect them from the attack of an unknown figure. Joss admitted that he had been negligent, until Gawin himself realized that danger was coming. No one knows what possessed Joss to let his guard down. His carelessness resulted in Gawin being injured by a sudden attack. Joss realized that the figure was targeting him to make it easier to control Gawin later. Joss was truly sorry.

"I told you-"

"What Gawin?! How many times do I have to tell you not to do stupid things?!!!", Joss interrupted, raising his voice. The large hand that had gripped Gawin's jaw hardened. Almost gripping. Gawin gasped, not expecting Joss to explode.

"I-I just don't want you to be hurt because of me", squeaked Gawin almost whispering, turning his face away, no longer wanting to look at his personal bodyguard. A long silence reigned. No one intended to speak. Even Gawin's ears could catch the sound of the cold night breeze.
