A week later
Jay's POV
I stood immediately when I heard the doorbell ring.
Cee!
I was excited, and nervous...very nervous. I made my way to the door, my palms all sweaty as I opened it. "Cee... Mariá? " All my nervousness was replaced with confusion and annoyance. "Heyy, darling! I'm back. Missed me? " She winked at me.
Really? Right now?
"Oh, h-hey... What're you doing here? It's...late, " I stepped outside, closing the door behind me. "Oh, is it? Well, I guess I have no choice but to sleep over, " she pouted. "S-Sleep over? Why? " I raised an eyebrow. "I just got back from England and I thought I'd visit you before I go back to my hotel but would you look at the time? " She gasped dramatically.
I rolled my eyes, disappointed that it wasn't Cee. "I could help you out with getting a hotel to sleep in, you know? " I rubbed the back of my neck as I looked at her, all hyperactive. "No need. Your house is a whole hotel on its on. I'd like to sleep over...if you don't mind, " she gave me those puppy eyes, the same ones I used to go gaga over.
I sighed in defeat, hesitating a bit.
What about Cee?
Before I could say anymore, she walked past me and opened the door. "I'll take that as a 'Yes'! " She seriously left her bags outside... For who to carry ?
"Mariá, your bags! " I called out to her in annoyance. No answer. I sighed and lazily carried her bags inside, closing the door behind me.
I could hear her singing with that slightly good voice of hers in the kitchen. "Got any food, honey? " She asked from the kitchen. "Uhh, yeah. I've got some pasta in the fridge, " I rolled my eyes, getting fed up with her calling me those names.
I sent her stuff to one of the guest rooms, the one farthest from my room. I returned to the living room to find her eating at the dinner table. I avoided her and sat back on the couch, waiting for Cee to come.
I let Mariá's presence fade away, and I went back to feeling nervous. I gave several deep breaths, rubbing my palms together.
Mariá popped up out of nowhere and sat across me, her eyes on me. I met her gaze and looked away. "Am I making you nervous, honey? " She asked, eyeing me.
Who else thinks this is weird?
"Umm, n-no, " I stammered for no reason. She walked towards me, my eyes on her the whole time, and sat next to me...and close to me.
"How have you been without me, huh?" She grabbed my hand, leaning in to me. "Uh-Uhh, I've been doing great, " I tried to shake her off. She grabbed my hand tighter, rubbing her chest against my hand.
I furrowed my eyebrows and snatched my hand from her grip, clearly disgusted. "Mariá, please, ' I mumbled, pushing to the other side of the couch. "Come on, darling. I know you want this, " she pushed towards me. I stood on my feet and took a deep breath before meeting her gaze.
"Look, I don't want this. I got over you a long time ago. And plus, I'm moving on. I'm in a relationship now, if you don't know. Don't mess things up for me, " I said, my voice firm.
She stayed silent for a while and then, she chuckled. "What's funny? " I raised an eyebrow. She rose up, walking towards me slowly, swaying her hips. Her presence was very intimidating right now.
