Avantika's POV
Goodness, I never want to leave this place.
I have been roaming around this place for well over an hour now and I still can't get enough of it.
It was totally worth all of the troubles and the embarrassment of today only to be able to see this magnificent evening sky.
How beautiful.
The view enticed me so deeply that I didn't realise when the Hibiscus leaf I was absentmindedly tearing fell from my hands.
The sun slowly descending behind the skyscrapers that seemed dwarfed from where I stood, releasing spectrums of vibrant red, violet and sapphire blue in its wake.
Lakshya would love this, I thought.
He always loves sunsets.
I was busy admiring the fading light of the sky when I heard the familiar voice behind me.
"There you are." His voice a deep melody in the silence.
I turned around to look at him, a bright smile on my face. I was so captivated in the peaceful environment, that I forgot he was probably mad at me.
"How did you know where I was?"
He shrugged, "I always know. Don't I?"
The voice was so quiet had I been standing even a little farther from him, I wouldn't have heard it at all.
But now that I did, it was all I could hear.
And before I could hear anything else, or even think of anything else, my jaw was held by two warm palms.
When I looked up, I saw Lakshya looking down at me with the determination of a soldier going to the battlefield.
"I'm sorry Avi. I'm so, so sorry."
It took me a few moments to register his words.
"Uh..what?"
"I'm sorry for today. I'm such an asshole."
Oh.
"I know it was a shit move, to be so mean you like that. But I was just- just so- oh god I'm such a piece of shit." He was now full on ranting to himself, his hands waving in randomly in the air before covering his face in frustration.
"Lakshya."
"And-and you don't know those people Avi. They're fucking psychopaths. I was just so worried about you. I didn't mean to-"
"Lakshya." My voice louder than before putting an abrupt halt to his word vomiting, now my palms were holding his face.
"Huh?"
"Shut up."
"Okay." He half whispered. Looking down at his feet in guilt and embarrassment.
"Listen I know you're mad at me but-"
"Shut up yaar. Ketlu bak bak kare che." I folded my hands, again making him look down like a sad puppy.
I stood like that for a few moments, his expression was so fun I couldn't help but tease him.
"I'm not mad at you idiot." I finally chuckled.
His face jerked up with a blinding glow in his eyes.
"Really?"
"Really."
He beamed like an idiot before dead seriousness took over his face.
"Why?" He asked in a completely no nonsense tone.
