Chapter 22

Bhairav

I woke up with a headache. Sitting on my bed, I pinched my nose bridge trying to subdue my brain. I looked at myself, I slept without clothes. I then remember previous night incidents.

Yeh kya kehdia mene Meera se?
(What did I say to Meera?)

I hold my head, thinking how weirdly I behaved with her. I looked at her side but she was not here. This confuses me as where would be she at this time?

Time kya horaha hai waise?
(What's the time?)

I look at the watch and saw it's 9am. I almost jump out of my bed. Why did I wake up so late? As I am standing butt naked, Meera enters our room. Upon seeing me she blushes and closes the door behind her.

"Aap uth gaye ji?"
(You woke up?)

"Haan bas abhi utha. Tune mujhe jaldi kyu nahi uthaya?" I say wrapping sheets around my waist. She looked so beautiful with that blush. I looked at her neck and the hickeys given by me yesterday were clearly visible.
(Yeah I just woke up. Why didn't you wake me up early?)

"Wo mujhe laga aap thak gaye hoge" she replied nervously.
(I thought you must be tired)

"Meera" I said after thinking a while.

"Ji"

"Wo dawai kis cheez ki thi?" I ask her as I know that was the only thing that was abnormal in my diet yesterday. I moved closer to her while she stepped back.
(What was that medicine for?)

"Ji.. wohh.. woh.."

I walked towards her until she was caged between me and the wall.

"Bol Meera"
(Speak Meera)

"Mene bataya toh tha khassi ki Hai" she said fidgeting not meeting my eyes. Ofcourse she is lying.
(I told you it's for cough)

I hold her chin and make her look at me.

"Tu janti hai wo khassi ki dawai toh nahi thi. Dawai se mein aisa bhartav toh nahi karta" I say in my calm yet serious voice.
(You know that it was not for cough. I do not behave like that after having medicine)

She licked her lips and looked downwards.

"Meera Kya tu phir kisi baba ji ke paas gayi thi? Aur agar Haan toh kyu? Mein tujhe khush nahi rakh pa raha kya?"
(Meera did you again go to some baba? If yes then why? Am I not able to keep you happy?)

She immediately looked at me and shook her head.

"Ji aisa kuch nahi hai. Sacchi"
(It's not true. Really)

"Toh phir wo kya tha?"
(Then what was it?)

"Ji dawai thi" she said again looking down.
(It was medicine)

"Meera mujhe samajh nahi aaraha tu jhooth kyu bol rahi hai. Kisne di tujhko wo?"
(Meera I Don't know why are you lying to me? Who gave it to you?)

A tear escaped her eyes and my anger increased. I moved away from her and calmed my breathing.

"Ja kaam karle apna" (Go do your work) I said to her and went to bathroom to get ready. I know if she is not telling me, she is trying to protect somebody else. I know my Meera. She is like that.

Getting ready I head downstairs, I know I look angry that's why no one approaches me. I first do my meditation and then come to dining table to have my breakfast.
