I stood infront of the ornate mirror in the hotel suite, barely recognizing the girl staring back at me. I'm the maid of honor at their wedding.
The dress I wore was unlike anything I'd ever worn before. It was a soft blush pink, made of flowing chiffon that seemed to float around me. The bodice was stunning, covered in delicate floral embroidery with silver threads that shimmered every time I moved. The off-the-shoulder neckline felt sophisticated, revealing just enough of my collarbones to make me feel elegant. A satin ribbon cinched my waist, and the skirt fell gracefully to the floor in gentle, cascading layers.
My hair had been styled in loose waves, the silky black strands falling softly over my shoulders. I had bangs that framed my face, adding a touch of youthful charm. A few strands were pinned back to keep them out of my face, allowing my pointed nose and high cheekbones to be more visible.
My makeup was simple, just enough to enhance my features. My pale skin had a natural glow, and my eyes were highlighted with a light touch of mascara and a hint of eyeshadow. My lips had a soft pink gloss that matched the dress perfectly. When I smiled, my lips formed a subtle curve, giving me a delicate, almost ethereal look.
I glanced at my reflection. The dress, the hair, the makeup-it all came together to make me feel beautiful and confident, ready to take on the special day ahead.
I took a deep breath. I looked at the wall clock on the wall. It's about time for my fetcher to arrive. At hindi ako nabigo, I quickly heard a knock from outside.
I grabbed my clutch before opening the door. He looks familiar. Have I seen him somewhere before already? He was strikingly handsome, with sharp, defined features. His dark hair was styled perfectly, the neat part framing his face in a way that made him look effortlessly cool. He towered over me, his presence filling the doorway. He was dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, the dark fabric contrasting sharply with his crisp white shirt and sleek tie. Everything about him screamed elegance and sophistication.
"You're Willow, Tita Wynea's daughter, right?" aniya sa isang kalmado at kaswal na tono.
Tumango ako. "I'm Lysander Tanaka, by the way," he said, extending his hand with a polite smile. "Eldest son of Mr. Tanaka."
Tinanggap ko iyon. "Nice to meet you-" I paused for a moment. Tatawagin ko ba siya na Lysander lang? He looks older than me. "You can call me anything you like, Willow," sabi niya ng may tonong nagpapahiwatig na gusto niyang maging komportable ako sa kanya. I nodded in response.
We left the hotel together, stepping out into the bright sunlight. We walked toward his car parked just outside. It was a sleek, black sedan, polished to perfection and gleaming in the light.
Kuya Lysander pulled out his keys and unlocked the car with a click. The car responded with a soft beep, and the lights flashed briefly.
"Thank you," I stepped forward and slid into the passenger seat. The interior of the car was just as immaculate as the outside, with plush leather seats and a clean, sophisticated dashboard.
I watched as he opened his door and settled into the seat next to me.
