By the time both of the boys, as well as Ms.Stagg, finished their dinner, it was well past midnight. "Billy, dear. Do you know your mums phone number?" Lilith called from the livingroom, since Billy had volunteered to do dishes.
He rinsed the last dish, before sitting it in the strainer, drying his hands off on his dish towel. "Yeah- uh, 303-###-####. I'm pretty sure." Lilith nodded, dialing the number into her house phone. It rang for a little bit, and then finally, "Hello? Yes, this is Lilith Stagg. I have your son here with me. He's- yes, I'm afraid we lost track of time. Would it be alright for him to stay here for the night? He'd be back first thing tomorrow morning." He listened silently to Lilith speak to what he assumed to be his mother, since she was the only one usually up this late.
A few more words exchanged, and then Lilith hung the phone up, turning to Billy, smiling, "She said yes." Billy grinned slightly, but honestly, he was sort of freaking out. Would he sleep on the couch? Would he sleep on the floor of Griffins room, and if he did, what would his bedroom look like? The thought fled from his mind as a certain boy emerged from what Billy learned to be the bathroom, his hair still somewhat damp.
Griffin yawned, plopping down on the couch. "I'll sit here, you go get a bath." Billy rose a brow. "And if I don't want to?" He kidded with the smaller boy. Griffin shot him a judgemental side glare, "Then you will not be sleeping here. You stink." Billy's jaw dropped slightly. "Hey, I do not!"
________
Still, he listened to what the little boy had told him, and got a quick shower. Evidently, while he had been taking a shower, with the curtain closed, somebody had snuck in and sat him some clothes on the sink.
With a second look at them, he assumed it was most likely Griffin, hence the faded picture of SpongeBob on the front of the shirt. There were also a pair of plain black shorts, with 2 white lines down each side.
Now usually, Billy would brush his teeth after dinner, but...he didn't really expect he'd be staying the night, so he didn't just shove a toothbrush in his pocket. "Hurry!" He heard Griffin whine from somewhere in the house.
He chuckled, opening the bathroom door, flipping the light switch off, before shutting the bathroom door behind him as he made his way out into the hall. "Finally." Griffin groaned, standing up from the couch, walking over to Billy. He grabbed his wrist, leading him back to, again, what Billy had first assumed was his bedroom.
And as soon as the light switch flipped on, he was sure of his assumption. On the walls were dozens of cartoon posters in many different shapes and sizes, band posters, a TV hanging from the wall, covered in Scooby-Doo stickers, and of course, his bed. He had a large, red and black checkered blanket covering what could be assumed to be a Teen Titans Go sheet.
Billy placed his hand over his mouth, trying not to laugh. Unfortunately, Griffin caught sight of this and rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. Laugh all you want." Billy moved his hand back to his side, and chuckled. "No, it's just- you like teen titans go, but not Spiderman? Ya know, Spiderman and Batman are similar in some aspects." He grinned sheepishly.
Griffin arched a brow, "And since when did Batman come into this?" Billy hummed in response. "Isn't Batman technically like a father to Robin?" After a minute, Griffin shrugged. Billy chuckled.
