CHAPTER FIVE:
STU MACHER'S PARTY
STORES WERE CLOSING early due to the curfew that was now till nine o'clock because of the recent murders and attacks that's been going around. Not many vehicles or people could be seen out on the streets, only parents and families rushing to their homes before they'd possibly be the next victims.A police car could be seen driving towards the grocery store, which was close to the police station. A group of four could be seen inside as Dewey parked the car off beside the sidewalk, hopping out before he moved his seat so Y/n and Sid could step out from the back, Tatum walking around the vehicle.
"Sure is quiet." Dewey comments.
Y/n sighs. "God, look at this place. It's The Town That Dreaded Sundown."
"Yeah, I saw that movie. It's about a killer in Texas, huh?" Dewey questions, taking his sunglasses off.
"Hey, guys, just think, if they make a movie about you two, who's gonna play you both?" Tatum states in question.
Sid shrugs. "I shudder to think."
"I see you as a young Johnny Depp myself." Dewey admits.
"Thanks, Dewey. With my luck, they'd cast Michael J. Fox." Sid replies.
And with that, the three teenagers were walking off towards the grocery store as the police officer calls out to them, telling them that he'd just be a couple of minutes, making sure to add by telling them not to go too far before he walked off.
"Is Billy gonna be there tonight?" Y/n asks.
"He better not be. I told Stu to keep his mouth shut." Tatum tells her. "I think we can live without the endorphin rush for one night."
The group of three walk into the grocery store, greeting the person at the cash register before Y/n grabbed a cart. For a couple minutes, they were talking as they walked through the aisles, Tatum grabbing whatever she thought was good for a party. They failed to notice the pair of eyes watching them, the ghostface mask reflecting from the glass doors of the freezer briefly.
* * *
The music in Stu Macher's house was blaring throughout the entire place as it was full of quite a few teenagers, but not too much that the house was crowded of people. The trees around the residence were tall as it was now dark out, the crickets chirping as they hid within the tall grass. Some parked vehicles could be seen that belonged to the teenagers in the house.
Dewey's police car could be seen pulling up to the house before the teenagers were climbing out, giving their goodbyes to the police officer. Everyone cheered once they ventured inside, holding up the snacks they had gotten from the grocery store just a few hours ago before the sun had fully set.
