Sunsealer's POV
He didn't want Pharaoh to like him by a spell; he wanted it to be natural. But to her, they were just best friends. Could he ever win her over? She didn't even KNOW that he liked her, but now, he felt guilty for casting a spell on his friend. But it had to be that way, he would've been found out otherwise. Pharaoh started to walk away, her eyes blank and Sunsealer silently cried to himself. How was he going to get out of this loop? Every time he cast an enchantment, it was like Pharaoh just happened to walk into the room at that moment, and she always said that same stupid reply, that she was going to tell the village. Even if it wasn't the same event over and over, it felt like it. How would he go around being a literal animus yet being forced to not use them without being caught by his best friend? Plus, why did Pharaoh, his BEST FRIEND, betray him each time? Did she secretly hate him? Sunsealer didn't know. Maybe he'd eventually learn.
???'s POV
Silhouette opened his eyes, adjusting to the darkness. It was dark which was strange. He looked up. It was a solar eclipse. It started to trigger the voices in the back of his head but he pushed them back. Then, he saw a strange yellow dragon. The dragon seemed to be so caught up in his thoughts, the dragon hardly noticed that he had just appeared near him and instead, the dragon continued with his shenanigans. "Sandstorm." The dragon said, quite ominously. The sand started to lift up from the ground, and mini sand tornados started to appear, and the sky got dustier. The dragon turned around and noticed Silhouette behind him. The SandWing jumped at the sight of him. "A-are you from the village?" The dragon asked. Silhouette said, "Uhm, I live in a hut by the talon peninsula." "Well, I don't think that's by the village.. do you know what an Animus is?" The dragon asked Silhouette. "What's that?" Silhouette said curiously. "Uh- nevermind. Well, I guess I won't have to make you for- I mean nothing. I'm Sunsealer " Sunsealer quickly replied. Suddenly, something rushed through Silhouette's mind. He saw Sunsealer's past from his hatching to the present. "Wow," he said. "I won't tell anyone." Sunsealer blinked slowly. "What do you mean, you won't tell anyone? About what you saw?" Sunsealer questioned. "About your Animus gift and how you have to hide it from Pharaoh and enchant her to forget about it," Silhouette said. "How did you know that? I didn't tell you; you don't even know my best friend! I'm just protecting her anyways.." Sunsealer grumbled. "Uhh... It was nothing," he said, trying to not reveal his secret. "Are you an animus also?" Sunsealer said, raising his non-existent eyebrow. "No... You know! Let's just forget about what I just said!" Silhouette said frantically "Uhh, okay.. Well, you look awfully young to be out here, how did you even get here? You don't look SandWing." Sunsealer asked. "Oh. It was a gift from my friend." Silhouette said. "Oh. Wait, how did your friend get an animus touched ob- I mean, how did they get it? It's.. not exactly common to be able to possess a gift that can let you teleport anywhere you want, unless a... uhh, don't mind that last part." Sunsealer said quickly. "Yeah. Some multicolor dragon gave me it." "Multicolor?" Sunsealer replied. "Sounds like a RainWing. How did one of them get an animus? I thought that usually only NightWings and SandWings could be- oh, I've said too much. Ignore all that I just said, all you need to know is that the dragon who gave you it is a RainWing, and they are usually stupid and weak." Sunsealer explained. "Oh," he said thinking about the rainwing he met. "Well, uh, you should probably get back to your hut now. It's getting dark." Sunsealer said, clearly hoping that Silhouette wouldn't realize that it was practically mid-day, and the solar eclipse was just blocking the sun. "Yeah, hold on." He paused for a second as if something was going through his mind. "Your animus magic might be triggering my... you what, never mind." He walked away. I can't look like this in public! He thought to himself. The voices in his head became more aggressive. "Not right now," Silhouette thought sadly. "Look, you clearly have something you're hiding. Just spit it out and get over with it." Sunsealer replied rather harshly. The voices in his head got worse as he started seeing shapes and colors in his vision. "No, no, no!" The aura of the animus dragon was triggering his schizophrenia. "Uh-" Sunsealer said. Clearly Sunsealer hadn't ever seen a dragon behave like this before. Silhouette started seeing objects and dragons. He fell to the floor as he got dizzy and couldn't tell reality from fake.
Sunsealer's POV
Sunsealer rushed towards Silhouette. As much as he did NOT want to deal with this right now at all, he still was going to help a dragon; especially if it was a dragonet. He wasn't completely heartless. He struggled to come up with an enchantment that would work to help Silhouette. The voices in Silhouette's head were worse than ever. It felt like his brain was short-circuiting. He had a massive headache. He blacked out. "Sand, turn into a leaf bedding. Uh, moon, go away from the sun. Sandstorm, stop." Sunsealer said, stuttering to come up with an idea of what to do next. Little did Sunsealer know, he hadn't been specific enough. He had accidentally made a random dragon in his village called Sand turn into leaf bedding, a dragon named Sandstorm stopped what they were doing, and one of the 3 moons had started to disappear. "Ugh.. why isn't it working?!" Sunsealer exclaimed out loud. Usually his animus powers worked, but it hadn't instantly this time. "Ugh, fine, desert sand, turn into leaf bedding, sandstorm, stop.. sandstorming, and moon, stop covering the sun. This time, the sand turned into leaf bedding, and the moon stopped covering the sun, but the sandstorm was still going. Why wasn't this working? Meanwhile, Sandstorm had turned into a SeaWing and was freaking everyone out back at his village. "Ohmy3moons- okay, fine, Sandstorm that is going ON during the desert sand and causing the natural disaster, sandstorm, stop." The sandstorm FINALLY stopped, and he let out a sigh of relief. He still didn't know what to do with the unconscious dragonet, so he just left the dragonet to be in the leaf bedding. Hopefully the dragonet would wake up and just forget about all of this, maybe he'd cast the spell to make them forget later. Instead, he started to head back towards the village.
Woo, that was a LOT of story. Def more words compared to my mere ~400 per chapter in my last book, but eh. Alright go to ch. 2 now!
