Massimo's pov
I plop onto the couch, my left arm under my head as I stare at the blank ceiling. The soft snores of Hana filled the Villa and I had an urge to visit her in the room. I groan and run my palm over my face. I was the fearless boss of Costa Nostra and a mere woman has me thinking about her 24/7. Her trembling body and fearful eyes when i get close to her or even lay a single finger on her body makes my stomach churn. During my 20's i was never one to feel or have any feelings for woman. I would fuck, then move onto another woman i could fuck again. Yet this little minx had my mind spinning like a tumble dryer. I had fallen asleep after thinking about her.
I jolted when I felt a presence beside me. I knew it was Hana. I could smell her honey vanilla scent, the touch of her fingers which brushed against my bicep.
"What?" I didn't bother opening my eyes.
"I - I don't know if it's serious but...there's two cars parked outside that wasn't there before." This alerts me which I get up and walked towards the window. I slowly lift the blinds.
"Shit." She was right. There were about 6 no 7 of them. I grabbed my gun from the back pocket and looked out the window again.
"Hana come here." I noticed her hesitation but she obliged. I pulled her close to me, my hands on her waist.
"We'll go through the backdoor." I checked the window one more time, my eyes scanned them all. But stopped at a small yet muscular man holding a rifle.
"Scendere!" (Get down) I pushed Hana onto the floor as bullets fly towards us. The sound of shattered glass and Hana's scream echoed into my ears. My body was on top of hers protectively, my arm around her head. The firing stops and i know they were going to burst into the villa any moment.
"Get up. Come on." I lift her up from the floor, grabbing her wrist, bolting it to the back door.
"What's going on? are they here for us?" I noticed the scared look in her eyes and for some reason I wanted to comfort her.
"Don't know." We made it to the back door, I made sure to have Hana close to me. Her smaller figure in front of me. Her smell intoxicated my nose and i wanted to bury my nose in her neck.
"This way." There was no way I could get to the SUV without fighting all those men. I may be highly skilled in fighting but one against seven in a gun fight is impossible. I must also keep Hana safe from harm.
"Look at me." She looks at me, her beady brown eyes wide enough like a bunny. "I'll keep you from harm. All you have to do is trust me and do everything i say. Is that clear?" Her head nods.
"Good. Stay put, no matter what." I already thought of a plan in the last 5 minutes. One where I know no harm will come to my Fiore Mio. As I was about to leave, a small tug on my sleeve causes me to stop.
"Don't leave me..." Her soft voice made my heart ached hearing her frightened. I turned around and looked at her. I shouldn't be feeling like this. I took her captive, I want to kill her father. Yet she's my Little flower. I gently pressed a kiss on her forehead, my lips brushing against the tip of her hijab. My hand cradled the back of her head, as i kept my lips longer than I should.
"Stay put. You'll be safe, I promise." I walked from the hiding spot, my hands in the air as the men points their gun at me.
"Ahh...isn't it the infamous Costa." A tall man, with a snake tattooed around his neck, probably the leader of the group speaks up. I made sure to count them, thankfully all seven were still outside.
"How did you figure out i was here?" I say calmly even with a gun pressed to my forehead. All of them chuckles and i raised my eyebrow in confusion.
"A tip from an old friend of yours, he paid us to make sure you never get to see the light of day again."
"Jamal." I snarled and the man grins.
"So Mr. Costa, would you like a painful death or a quick one. We'll take recommendations as we have all day." He laughs, making me want to punch his smug look on his face.
"Oh and we'll take the pretty little lady you have too." That did it for me and I land a punch to the bastard who was holding a gun to my head. I take out my gun from the back pocket and shoot the person who was about to shoot me, his blood splattered all over the ground.
"Get the girl!" The leader of the group yells. Oh the fuck they won't. With a quick stride I grab the leader and press my gun to his forehead which makes all his goons freeze.
"Tell your men to put down their guns and you'll live." I growled at the leader, digging the gun into his temple. He hesitates but he nods at them to do as he is told. I call for Hana to come out which she does, I sigh in relief seeing no bruises on her.
"Come here fiore mio." As she reaches me, I moved towards her and guide her to the SUV, still pressing the gun to the man. I tell her to get it in, making sure she is secure.
"Tell Jamal he's fucked when I get my hands on him." I leaned closer to his ear. "And, he has such a pretty daughter." I shoot his leg and get inside the driver seat, pulling out the entrance of the villa. I turned my gaze to Hana, who sits quietly, fiddling with her fingers.
"Are you hurt?" No words come out her mouth but just one shake of her head. We drive through the forest, nothing but sand far and near.
