"Can we get some privacy for a moment?" Alice requested. The doctor nodded and got everyone out of the room. "Ok, start talking, who are you!" Alice was confused and scared.
"I'm Alex, I gave you that box when you got in an accident, but I also gave it to you in your dream world. You helped me out when we were little, you probably don't remember but I was 9 and you were 6. I just moved across from you and little did I know, the bridge downtown was still being built, I walked onto it and you followed me, the bridge started to crack and you pulled me off of it as it started to crumble. You saved my life, and to keep you alive and sane I asked my dad to attach me to a computer system that allowed me to go into your dreams. Alice, everything that we have gone through for the past 9 years was all true, but in a different world." Alex explained. Alice was confused and sat quietly. She asked Alex to return her to the bed.
"This doesn't make any sense, how could a computer even do that?! I mean... How?..." Alice was still under shock that she had been asleep for 9 years.
"It's ok, I get that you are shocked, but I just wanted to tell you, I'm real. I will always be real, when your asleep, and when you wake up." Alex smiled at Alice. Alice sat in silence for a little while. She thought to herself, ' So, I'm finally awake.' Alice smiled at Alex.
"Ok then, if you are real then you have to help me, only you know what I've been like for the past 9 years so you have to help me get back on my feet." Alice smiled. Alex was puzzled for a moment, then he smiled back.
"Ok then." Alex said. Alex helped Alice sit up, Alice wrapped her arms around Alex. Later that day Alex went home, when he got there he walked down stairs into a large laboratory. "Hey dad, how are the experiments going?"
"They are doing ok, how is Alice doing, I heard she woke up today, no need for the dreamer XX anymore eh?" Mark, Alex's dad said.
"We'll, yea, now I have a new mission. I am going to help Alice adjust to life outside of her own mind." Alex smiled. Mark looked at Alex with a strange expression as Alex walked back upstairs. Alex went to his room and jumped on his bed. He stared out his window and fell asleep.
