Edward found Hilda sitting on a bench looking sad.
Edward: "Hilda. Why weren't you at the Sparrow Scouts HQ today? Raven Leader was worried about you. She wanted to give you all your badges you earned on that camping trip.
Hilda: (Sad Voice) "Because I don't like being in the Sparrow Scouts anymore."
Edward: "You don't? Why not? And why do you look so sad?"
Hilda: (Sad Voice) "It's just a waste of my time. It feels too babyish."
Edward: "But you do a lot of great things with them, and you learn lots of new skills, which earn you lost of badges. You're not a baby, Hilda. You're 13 years old. That's not too old for the Sparrow Scouts."
Hilda: (Sad Voice) "I don't like getting badges. It's too stressful, and it's a lot of work. It's not worth it."
Edward: "How long have you kept this secret in you?"
Hilda: (Sad Voice) "Ever since right after my very first Sparrow Scout meeting. I really hope you understand me, Edward. We've been good friends for awhile, and I feel like you're the best to talk to whenever I need help. Also, mum took advantage of me, and gave $1000 just so she can get me to go on that trip."
Edward: "It's okay, Hilda. We'll talk to Raven Leader, and we'll figure something out."
