Chapter 12: The Hardest Thing

Edward puffed Hilda back home.

Edward: "That was a very hard, but brave thing you did, Hilda."

Hilda: (Sad Voice) "I know, but mum is going to kill me if she finds out!"

Edward: "She can't do that. She doesn't even have a gun. Now, what was that about her taking advantage of you?"

 Hilda: (Sad Voice) "She said if I went on that trip, she'd give me $1000."

Edward: "And did she?"

Hilda: (Sad Voice) *sighs* "Yes. She did."

Edward: "She took advantage of you?!"

Edward was furious. He knew that woman was trouble.
