The monkey coughed out smoke and tried to clean his face from the ashes created by the fire.
"*Cough* *Cough* What the hell was that for!?"
Hotaru huffs disappointedly and crosses her arms showing her disapproval.
"For showing me, Hotaru, such disrespect"
That only ticked the monkey even more.
"Yeah? Well, oh 'great and all mighty Hotaru' what makes you so awesome in the first place?" The monkey asked with clear sarcasm that, somehow, went through Hotaru who was pleased to get that question.
"You understand! Ahem- you see, I'll let you in a little secret" Hotaru whispered the last part of her sentence with smug.
The monkey was confused as to why she didn't realize his sarcasm but went along with it anyway. He won't lie; he's a little curious himself, and he bent down a little so that he could hear her.
"Actually... I'm the only known dragon half-human breed that roams this very rock that we stand on" She whispered to him full of pride, fully believing that he would be amazed at the secret.
"*Psh yeah I know, you might not believe me but it's true! I, Hotaru, heir of the great Nix! One who will reign terror over this wo-"
"Ah, so you're from the Nix family line! No wonder you looked familiar"
"Eh?"
Hotaru was confused by the sudden realization that the monkey made.
"...What do you mean?"
"Do you live under a rock or something-"
"Technically, yeah"
The monkey sighed and finally understood the whole situation that the girl was in.
'This girl is lost and uneducated' Was what the monkey thought, more reason why he needs to know why she's away from the other dragons of her kind.
After some thought, the monkey came to a decision.
"Come with me"
"What? Why?" Hotaru gave him a distasteful look, she clearly didn't like him and was still confused as to how he made that realization earlier.
"Look, it's obvious you have nowhere to go. There's a village nearby that I currently live in and there are plenty of resources to keep you safe" The monkey said hoping that she would accept, he found this girl quite intriguing and perhaps...
'...This girl holds the key' The monkey is not kind nor is it truly honest with anything, sugarcoating lies is his specialty.
'I'm in this for my goal, someone who's from the Nix family and is half-human? That's unheard of! This opportunity will give me more information on their capabilities and if they're worth it to bet my money on' He suddenly felt excited, thinking about it just made him want to see the dragons himself even more.
"Why would I, the great Hotaru, a dragon, want to join an ugly monkey?"
That ticked off the monkey.
"Hey! Shut your mouth brat, and I have a name!"
"The name's Fuko Shu, a reliable hunter of Goka Village. Just call me Fuko, nice to meet you" Fuko rushed his introduction, he was starting to doubt his idea of bringing a girl like Hotaru to the village.
"Wait, Fuko? As in Fuko the Stupid Immortal?" She holds in a laugh in the middle of her sentence.
Fuko widens his eyes in horror.
