CHAPTER 8

I found Wave waiting for me in the living room.

"What's Grandpa's plan?" he asked with a directness that matched his serious expression.

"He's still weighing his options," I replied quietly, glancing toward the hallway.

"Typical Grandpa," Wave remarked, his tone tinged with a hint of frustration. "And about Mom and Dad earlier, I'm really sorry about that."

"Don't mention it, naiintindihan ko ang point ni tita." I sighed, leaning against the door frame.

Naiintindihan ko na pinoprotektahan niya ang mga mamanahin ninyong magkapatid kaya ayaw niyang nandito ako....

I muttered quietly to myself. 

"Wanna hang out with me tomorrow? I don't have class," Wave suddenly suggested.

"You can bring your friends so you can enjoy yourself while Grandpa hasn't finalized his plans for you yet," he added with an excited voice, brimming with enthusiasm.

"I'll think about it."

"Oh, come on, couz. I know you're not busy. Plus, you'll have me with you. No one can harm you," he insisted.

I paused for a moment, considering. This was also my chance to get to know Wave better and gather more information that could help with my mission here.

" Mukhang hindi naman ako makakatanggi"

"So it's a yes?" Wave's face lit up like a little child.

I nodded, unable to suppress a laugh at his childlike act.

Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at pumasok kami sa kwarto niya.

Wave grinned mischievously. "Deal! Now, let's plan our epic day out!" He pulled out his phone, already brainstorming ideas for our pinsan bonding.

We spent the next hour debating where to go and what to do.

sa huli yung plano rin namn niya ang nasunod, hayst.

"First stop, the beach!" Wave declared as we drove along the coastal road, the sea breeze tousling our hair.

"First stop? How many places do you have planned?" I raised an eyebrow at Wave

Ginulo lang niya ang buhok ko,

"It's a secret," Saad niya sabay takbo palayo.

Loko talaga, hinabol ko naman siya. Hindi kami pwede sa masyadong crowded na place kaya kelangan kong makita kung anong mga lugar ang nasa listahan niya.

Naabutan ko siyang nakaupo sa buhangin, ngiting ngiti pa habang hinahampas ng tubig dagat ang paa niya. 

Naupo ako sa tabi niya.

"How about we just stay here? It's quiet and safe," I suggested.

" HIndi pwede kasi hinihintay ka nila." Wave replied cryptically.

" Hinihintay nila?" 

 furrowed my brow in confusion. As far as I remembered, today was supposed to be a cousin bonding day. Who could possibly be waiting for me?

Bago pa makasagot si Wave ay narinig ko na ang boses ni Zoey.

" Lighteanna..." 

My heart skipped a beat as I turned towards the familiar voice. Zoey stood a few feet away, Kasama niya si Z- Zavier, ang mga kaibigan nito at dalawang iba pa.
