"I think it's that way."
Hoshi scratches his head in confusion as he walks off. Great we were lost. I was only 17 and with baby Dino along- well he is actually 16 but the point is, this is a mess! Hoshi was the oldest so I counted on him. He was only 18 but that's experienced enough. I mean sure, Hoshi was a bit of a goofball and an idiot but he's mature.. right?
It was 11pm and we should have been back at the dorm hours ago but Chan wanted the fanciest restaurant and so we took the bus and got off at the wrong stop. Chan was being stubborn and refused to believe we were lost. We walked around and asked for directions, but somehow we got farther away from the dorm, more lost then before. Basically we were in a random town and we didn't even know where the bus stop was.
"Minhee noona, I'm scared." Chan whispers as we sat at a bench. "Don't metion that to the others, they'll bother me about it for the rest of our friendship." I only chuckle and admit being frightened only myself. I don't tell Chan for the reason of not spreading more fear of the dead silence in the middle of the road. Hoshi had left us minutes ago to find directions. I really hope he didn't get lost without us. My phone was on 10% but Chan's was dead and I didn't even have Hoshi's number. Chan was being a typical moron (AKA me everyday) and kept playing with his phone until it died.
There was rustling around us but I don't turn back. Never turn back right? Maybe I was just too much of a scaredy cat that I believed in such nonsence. I then get up, letting go of Chan's grasp.
"Okay Dino let's lighten the mood alright? Hoshi will be back any second now a-" I hear more rustling and stop mid-sentence. "And that stupid rustling in the trees or whatever, is really just the wind." I look around, not really seing anything because of how dark it was. What was this town? Dead? Usually there'd be stores around and lighting but this town had almost nothing. Chan only shivers as it gets more windy. Is this the usual weather in South Korea? How would I survive living here?
"Minhee just sit down. It's cold." Chan says and I obediently sit next to him.
I then hear some voices and look over to see there was a bar. Some men were walking out, well more of stumbling. Okay so there's a bar but no lighting."Hey you lost?" A deep voice calls. I look up to see a tall guy- maybe around his early 20's. I get up quickly standing in front of Chan in a protective way. Please let this not be happening. He smiles but I didn't really get the kind feeling from it.
"Uhm no I'm just waiting for-"
"Her boyfriend." I look behind the random citizen and see Hoshi. Oh did he have to step in? Especially with that god awful sentence. What were we in? A typical high school chick flick?
"I can handle this myself, Soonyoung!" I shout for him to hear me, only to be completely ignored. Chan sat behind me watching the small dramatic scene. He began to get up but I tell him to stay seated.
"Who? You?" The 20 year old chuckles creepily as he looks at Hoshi. I stare at his reactions and I can tell Hoshi was completely serious. He gave a different vibe then his usual self.
"Yes me, is that a problem?"
The random guy shakes his head. "Just the fact that I can't imagine a girl like that dating a wannabe blond little boy like you." The guy laughs at the thought but no one else makes a sound.
"He just so happens to be turning 19 in a couple of months!" Chan shouts defensively and I shush him. Would that really stop him Chan really? The 20 year old looks back at us.
