21 - Goodbye

"I'm gonna cry."

"Whoa no way! I get you're a girl and all but don't do it!" Minhee and I had finally went to our bed and since Wonwoo was literally locking himself in one room Minhee and I got to share a room to ourselves. We were in the dark with only light coming from our phones.

"I'm serious Hansol, can't you be a brother for once and comfort me?"

"I didn't mean it that way Minhee. You're just always the one to keep me happy and seeing you crying is gonna make me cry." But it was too late. Minhee already had red puffy eyes and a quivering bottom lip. The tears were being held back since she didn't want to cry now and I feel absolutely terrible with what I said. Did she keep on her smiling face only for me? Was she always happy to make me happy? Was I being the selfish one? "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way. You can come and cry to me whenever you want. I'll be right here." I comfort her as she lets her feelings along with her tears out and wow did she let a lot out.

"Minhee, tell me what's wrong. Is it the whole Wonwoo situation?"

"No!" She shouts and I wonder if she woke the boys. "I mean yeah but it's not just that, it's everything! Wonwoo ignoring not only me but everyone including Soonyoung feeling bad because he confessed to me after the whole Wonwoo thing. Me not getting enough time with you and that's unfair to you. Your schedule even. I know you can't do anything about it and I don't want you to but what am I doing here?"

"Minhee-"

"No, Hansol I'm serious I'm here to comfort you because of grandfather and I can't even do that... I'm gonna leave." She confirms while getting up from her bed to start packing.

"Minhee wait! What are you thinking? You're just super emotional right now! Even if you want to leave- the boys! They're all sleeping right now do you really want to leave without saying a goodbye?" She then stops to turn to me and I notice her red cheeks and red nose.

"Am I really overreacting? Honestly, Hansol am I? I think what's best is to just spend the rest of my summer with mom and dad and grandpa."

"And Sofia." I mumble letting her remember the little sister we haven't seen in almost a month now.

"And Sofia." She sighs repeating my words. "It's best if I go now. If I'm saying goodbye to everyone I don't think I'll ever leave."

"Okay." I say about to choke up but hold in everything. "I'll call a taxi for you. Uhm-" I look around for my wallet to pay for her ride since she'll have to pay for her plane ticket back to New York when she decides to leave.

By the next hour, Minhee was getting in the taxi when I hear a shout from the window.

"Yah! Where is she going?!" I look up to see Seungkwan pretty confused but he also had a looked as if he knew deep down she was leaving. I look away and Minhee waves at Seungkwan with a smile. She speaks some words and the driver takes off just like that. I look up to see Seungkwan's face.

"She's leaving for the rest of her vacation!" I shout confirming the situation. "Just like we wanted before." I say in a normal tone, knowing I wouldn't be heard by anyone.
