Chapter 6 The Sixth Little Tail
Perhaps because of Ling Chen's words, Ye Xiao curled up and fell asleep, and began to dream in a daze.
The dream was not beautiful at all. There was blood everywhere, some of which was his own, but more of which was Ling Chen's.
He saw Zhan Shui and the scabbard thrown casually beside him. He knelt on the ground, covering the bullet hole on Ling Chen's chest with both hands. His five fingers were cramped, but there was still a steady stream of blood flowing out from between his fingers, taking away all of Ling Chen's vitality.
Ling Chen raised his hand to touch his face. Did he want to say something to him, or smile at him? Ye Xiao didn't know. Because it seemed that he lost him in just a blink of an eye.
Ye Xiao felt so cold. He tried to recall with some effort. This seemed to be the first time he was reborn. When he found Ling Chen, Cancan, Jiang Mu, and Jian Lan were all dead. Ling Chen was walking alone on the road to the central area of D Area, with three metal nameplates tied on his wrists.
At that time, Ling Chen was always silent and didn't like to talk. His back looked like a lone wolf in the desert. Ye Xiao remembered very clearly that he had been following Ling Chen for three days, stumbling and falling, and then he accidentally sprained his ankle. Ling Chen stopped to help him treat his ankle injury, and then carried him on his back.
He lay on Ling Chen's back and couldn't help but shed two tears quietly. Ling Chen asked him, "It's dangerous to follow me. I brought three people in, and all three are gone. I took over the Second Department from the previous commander-in-chief, and now I am the only one left in the Second Department. In this case, you still want to follow me?"
Ye Xiao answered while sobbing, "Yes, I will follow you."
At that time, Ling Chen seemed to smile and said, "Okay, Brother Chen will protect you in the future."
In the end, he really protected him, protecting him with his life.
Ye Xiao woke up from his dream, his eyes were a little sore, he was afraid of waking up Ling Chen next to him, so he carefully raised his hand and rubbed them.
Ling Chen had not fallen asleep because of Jiang Cancan's discovery of the nameplate. He noticed the movement next to him and asked in a low voice, "Are you awake?"
Ye Xiao turned his head. It was too dark and he could only see the general outline of Ling Chen. He answered in a low voice with a nasal tone, "Hmm, I had a dream. It was very cold in the dream."
Ling Chen reached out and held Ye Xiao's hand, "So cold?" He even felt a little wet on his hand - what kind of dream was this, and it scared him to tears.
Ling Chen: "Is it really cold?"
Ye Xiao nodded, "Hmm, cold."
After hearing a few sounds of clothes, Ling Chen moved closer to where Ye Xiao was lying, then reached out and hugged him and the sword in his arms, and said with a smile, "It won't be cold now, right?" After saying that, he asked, "Why are you so thin? It's more painful than the long sword you are holding."
Ye Xiao was a little dazed, and after a few seconds he answered, "I'm not thin, I have muscles."
Wrapped in the familiar body temperature, his eyes began to moisten again. His ears were pressed against Ling Chen's chest, his waist was held, and he could hear the other's heartbeat clearly in his ears. Ye Xiao's fingers moved, and finally carefully grabbed Ling Chen's clothes.
Ling Chen raised his hand, shook open the combat jacket, and covered the two of them. Intentionally or unintentionally, his chin rubbed against Ye Xiao's head, "Okay, go to sleep. I'll hold you. You won't be cold, and you won't have nightmares."
