"Look over there, Papa!" Haru pointed to a tea house, then pushed him inside and closed the door.
"Wha- Haru!" Futaro yelled after her and then sighed. "What's gotten into these kids today?"
"Hello, Futaro."
"Oh, hello, Miku."
"They do traditional tea ceremonies here. Would you like to try?"
"Well, we both love traditional Japanese things, don't we?"
Miku nodded. "Mhm!"
Miku and Futaro participated in a traditional tea ceremony, the serene ambiance of the tea house adding to the tranquility. The soft clinking of tea utensils and the gentle fragrance of green tea filled the air, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
After the ceremony, Miku and Futaro stepped outside to the koi pond, enjoying the serene view. "This place is so calming. It’s perfect for what I wanted to say."
She took a deep breath, her voice trembling slightly. "Futaro, I’ve been wanting to tell you... I have feelings for you. I always have. You’ve shown me so much kindness and patience."
She looked into his eyes, her own filled with emotion. "I hope we can share more moments like this in the future."
Futaro gently squeezed her hand, moved by her words. "Miku, you’re so special to me."
Miku blushed.
Hurried footsteps closed in.
Defeated, Futaro sighed. "Not again."
Suddenly, he was picked up and taken away.
"Uh wha- what the hell?? Sora!"
"Emergency, Dad! Bye, Aunt Miku!"
Miku giggled, amused by the scene. "Bye-bye." Haru walked up next to her mother, wearing a tree hat. Miku turned to her. "Would you like to try some tea as well?"
"Yes, please, Mama!"
Very ungracefully, Sora dropped his father and took off once again.
"Sora! What was that?!" Futaro yelled after him.
"Uesugi-san, are you OK?"
"Yotsuba? A dojo?"
"I wanted to do a sparring match. Wanna join?"
"Uhm... you know I'm not very athletic."
"Doesn't matter, let's go!"
"Don't drag me again!"
Yotsuba and Futaro engaged in a friendly sparring match at the dojo, their laughter echoing through the hall. They practiced various moves, teasing each other as they went. The wooden floor creaked under their playful steps, and the air was filled with the faint scent of incense.
After the match, Yotsuba pulled Futaro aside, her face flushed from the exertion and excitement. "That was so much fun! But there’s something I need to tell you."
She smiled brightly, her eyes shining with sincerity. "Futaro, I’ve always admired your strength and kindness. You’ve been my rock, and I want to be yours."
She took his hand, her grip firm and reassuring. "I want to protect you and be with you always."
Futaro looked at her, touched by her words. "Yotsuba, you’re incredible."
Someone clearing their throat could be heard.
"Again!?"
Yotsuba giggled. "Hello, Rina!"
"Hi, Auntie! Bye, Auntie!"
"Why is everyone dragging me today?!"
Yotsuba giggled as she watched Futaro's expression. Sora joined her at the dojo, wearing a tree hat.
"Sora, wanna spar?"
"Hell yeah, Mama!"
"Come, Papa, I found something wonderful!" Rina said, her eyes sparkling.
She stopped at a historical classroom, where Itsuki was waiting.
"Itsuki?"
"Have fun, Papa~."
"Rina—eh?! She's gone!"
Itsuki and Futaro explored the historical classroom, discussing their favorite historical figures and events. They bonded over their shared love of learning, the room filled with the scent of old books.
Itsuki found an old scroll and showed it to Futaro, their heads close as they read the ancient text. "I love learning about history. It’s something that’s always fascinated me."
She turned to him, her eyes serious. "Futaro, you’ve taught me so much, not just about school subjects, but about life."
She took his hand, her voice filled with emotion. "I respect you so much, and I care about you deeply. I want to face the future together with you."
Futaro smiled warmly, appreciating her honesty. "Itsuki, you’re amazing."
Suddenly, Futaro was gently pulled away by Aiko, wearing a tree hat and a big grin.
"Papa, we have to get back," she said, leading him away. Itsuki smiled, waving at them.
As they regrouped at the meeting point, Futaro looked at the quintuplets, each with their own child, and a sense of warmth and belonging washed over him. Despite the chaos and the children's orchestrations, he realized just how much he cherished these moments with them.
Then he noticed something peculiar
"What's with those hats?!" He points at the tree hats his children are wearing.
"That's a secret, Papa~," all five grin mischievously.
Futaro sighs in defeat.
"Let's head back," he said, smiling at the group. They all nodded, a sense of camaraderie and affection binding them together as they made their way back, the sun setting on a day filled with laughter, confessions, and unforgettable memories.
