I STARED AT HIM, wide-eyed at what I've just heard, but the moment I met his match mine and him quickly looking around as he stood up--I grew confused.
" Why?" I asked him as he stared at the view at the other side of the tree, then quickly pulled my arms to crouch.
" I like you."
Once more, we heard the sound and stole a glance while concealed behind the tall bushes near the tree trunk. I traced my arms, which he gripped firmly yet gently, up to his face, to eyes that seemed lost in profound emotion—an emotion I couldn't decipher, but my instincts warned of a nervousness and fear within me. My gaze followed his, ultimately resting on her.
Choi Seola.
The beauty next door. A smart one who ranks higher than my double-digit rank, I'm proud of. The student council president and the school's role-model that take over to continue her brother's legacy.
With her long black hair waves along the breeze of spring, along with flowers that framed her and made her look like a fairy--made, my heart clench in jealousy.
Is she the person he wants to talk about?
Is she the person that he can't help but stare at whenever she smiles?
Is she the person she likes?
I looked at him for answer, but with the gaze he gave and the hope that still stayed with me, I felt more confused than before.
" Seola."
" Wonwoo... you don't have to -"
Wonwoo?
I immediately line my sight on the back of the boy in front of her. That's Wonwoo? Confessed to? That's new.
With how he always made himself busy dating his books and with his gaze always cold to the point he looks like he's shooting ice on you, I can't expect someone like her would like that personality of his.
" I'm sorry," he answered.
Wow, so he could apologize?? I scoffed quietly.
