ARTHUR LEYWIN

A twig snapped beneath me, aether augmented my body as Sylvie and I traverse the forest. My eyes darted to each sound. The illusion that Mordain used wasn't effective before with the use of aether in my eyes. Though now, it was harder, like aether was also heeding the cast of illusion in this place.

Though it's harder, I still found the way to the cave.

'Are you sure they'll help?' Sylvie worriedly sent.

'Yeah, though it'll be hard to convince them now that we have no correlation with me now and Aldir isn't guiding me to their home. A fight may break out against them, but I'm sure I'll manage to convince Mordain.'

My head snapped to the dungeon emitting a huge mana, 'We're close.' Sylvie in her human form nodded, a blue mana sword shimmered in life on her right hand. We slowly walked towards the dungeon.

I took out Dawn's ballad, I coated it with aether hence the blade turned purple. As we got close, the sound of someone fighting resonated from within. I looked at Sylvie and I held my hands out to her. Sylvie took my hand and I coated both ourselves with illusion magic.

Casting a small dome around our body using sound magic and combining this with mirage walk making our footsteps silent. We entered the cave and the chilly wind embraced our body, it wasn't affecting me but Sylvie next to me shivered slightly.

'You can change to your fox form and enter my clothes, there you'll be warm,' I sent.

'N-no I can handle it, a mere cold can't bother me,' She smiled.

I nodded.

As the sound of someone fighting became muffled. The entrance of the cave became silent, following the silence was the sound of droplets of water hitting the ground; we continued our march, and the sound of shrieking could be heard deep within.

Getting close to the source of the sound, we heard a manly scream.

"HAAA!" Following the shout was a loud thud. I walked closer towards the hole on the ground, I took a peak and there I saw him. Memories of the past came rushing in as I saw his familiar figure.

...

Conjuring another aether sword above my shoulder, I fired it towards the flying colossal dragon. The tip of my purple blade pierced through its eye, blood gushed out as it let out a scream—I felt my eardrums exploding.

My vision slightly dimmed and I couldn't notice the coming hand to my left. I noticed it too late, the big hand of the dragon hit my shoulder—slightly I could hear my armor breaking against the impact.

I launched away, my back hitting the tree. A shadow was above me, I immediately looked up and my eyes widened as I saw a red tail going down to me. Channeling aether from my body to my back and eyes.

Purple pathways appeared before my eyes.

Activating God step, I teleported above the dragon. The dragon was moving at a speed that didn't fit nor make sense with the size of his body. Its head turned to me, and the tail arched—on my right hand an aether sword shimmered to life.

I spun my body and sliced horizontally. An aetheric wind blade appeared on the edge of my sword, a hum resonating from within it. The fabric of space distorted from the force of the conjured slash.

Then it sliced the dragon's tail, severing it from the dragon's body. The Dragon let out another mana laced shriek, "Now Chul!" I shouted. Appearing from the forest, Chul with his red hammer.
