"Do you really think this is a good idea?" The gears in her mind were spinning a mile a minute now. She had been fine earlier, but now that she was actually on her way there she was second guessing the whole decision.

"Taylor, it's been three years. You deserve to go out and live your life! And find a new man to treat you right." Though not being able to see her, Taylor could hear Selenas smile through the phone.

"I barely know the guy! We've only spoke through the phone!" Taylor fretted, keeping her voice hushed.

It was recently brought to Taylors attention that football star Travis Kelce had gone to one of her shows for The Eras Tour. While there, he tried to give Taylor a bracelet with his number on it, but Taylor was unable to receive it. However, eventually Tree had told her the whole scenario and she did some "research." She found his Instagram and built up the courage to message him about it. Soon enough, after a while they started talking...  A lot. One thing lead to another and now she was on the way to finally meet the man that made her so giddy every time she saw his notification lighten her screen in person.

Taylor chuckled. "Alright, well I gotta go I'm at the restaurant. I'll call you—"

"Call me as soon as it's over! I wanna know everything!" Selena interrupted, causing Taylor to laugh.

"Alright, bye now." She hung up and looked outside the window.

Security escorts Taylor out of the vehicle without being spotted by any lurking paparazzi and into the private dining room. Upon entry, the man she had been looking at on screen sat in the small booth, waiting for her.

"Taylor." He smiled and got up from the booth to greet her. The smile had Taylor growing one of her own; it was so contagious. "Hey you."

She held out her hand for a handshake out of assumption, but was taken unexpectedly when he pulled her into his arms in a warm embrace. She's able to smell his manly cologne, but also able to smell his natural scent underneath all of it. Her head fit perfectly in his chest as he was much taller than her, surprisingly.

After what seemed like forever but not long enough, they parted. "How've you been? It's nice to finally talk to you and see you person and not over a tiny screen." He chuckled, making Taylor smile.

They both sit across from each other in the little booth. The lights are gently dimmed, the white color scheme of the table and seats, and the candlelight's flickering giving the scenery a romantic ambiance. They settle into a comfortable silence after chatting for a little as they decide on why they want to order. Both of them settling on a pasta dish. Soon, both of them get served white wine before the server disappeared again.

"So you live here in New York?" He asks. Taylor finishes swallowing her sip of white wine before answering. "Yes and no. I travel a lot, so I have properties in several states but New York is more convenient.. so I guess?" She chuckled slightly as Travis smiled softly. "You flying out here to meet me was very sweet of you, by the way." Travis had freed his schedule and was able to fly from KC to New York to meet up with Taylor.

Travis smiled. "It's no big deal, really. I was free, I wanted to be able to see the pretty girl I've been speaking to in person." His eyes widened slightly after he spoke. A small blush crept on Taylors face as she chuckles, making Travis soon join in. "Well, you look great too." She smiled. "Thanks pretty lady." He teased gently.

"You're a flirt aren't you out?" Taylor teased back, making him laugh harder. "Guilty." He laughed, making her join in.

They got into conversation about the cities, their lives and schedules. Basically anything that came to mind. The conversation went by smoothly and comfortably. Both of them were completely comfortable in each other's presence, feeling safe to speak freely about whatever they felt. Selena was right, this was definitely better than still mourning over the loss of her and Joe. Who knows where he is anyway? Nobody has seen him since the.. incident.
