Dear Diary,
Today, I am meeting Haerin after school to brainstorm ideas for our project. I hope I can hold a real conversation with her today. She's odd for sure.

Minji looked around the empty classroom with weariness. She started counting the amount of guitar cases piled up near the corner, and got to around 20, before the door jolted open. Haerin walked in, closing the door softly, and sitting in the chair opposite of Minji. Before Haerin could open her mouth, Minji, with determination, started, "Yes, I know you are not a cat."
"Okay." 'Okay?' Minji thought. 'What does she mean by okay?' Haerin held eye contact with Minji for a bit, before taking out a notebook and a pen. Minji sighed. "Listen, Haerin, I know we aren't acquainted, and I know you are not a cat, but let's try cooperate to get an A for this project, okay?"
"Okay". Haerin replied once more, as her stoic face now displayed a slight smile. Minji nodded, noticing the change in expression.
"So...what should we do with this project?" Mini prompted, as she looked through the rubric. You must create a piece of music to show your understanding of basic/complex rhythms, chord studies, key signatures, time signatures, and display a creative element. Whether that be making music, singing it, or doing something else, the students' knowledge of music must be prominent within the project. Minji looked up to see Haerin staring at her again.
"Unnie, can you sing?" Haerin asked, peering curiously into Minji's eyes. Something about the way Haerin said 'unnie' made Minji's tummy do a little flip. "I- uh yeah, but I don't think I'm too good..." Haerin nodded along. She replied, "Well, we should do a singing project. I think it would be fun."
Minji considered her options. She decided that she wasn't talented enough to play a different instrument, so without a choice, she agreed. "So, a song, huh? What should the theme be? What should we make it about?" Haerin seemed to be in deep thought, and this time, Minji was staring at the other. Haerin, now focusing on Minji, realized that the older was staring at her. With a hint of mischievous in her eyes, Haerin asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
The older, clearly amused and offended ('what do you mean? you look at me more than this all the time!') said, "What? Haerin, you look at me like this all the time! So it's suddenly reserved to you to do all of the staring but not me?"
"Unnie, have you been thinking about me?" Haerin asked out of the blue, peering into Minji's eyes. Minji, with a pinkish tint, shook her head hard. In a loud outburst, Minji countered, "So staring means I've been thinking about you a lot? Have you been thinking about me a lot, Haerin?"
