I've been blowing Y/N up for a couple of days now and she hasn't been responding. "This girl" I said to myself seeing all my messages being delivered quietly because her phone was on "Do Not Disturb". "What's up with you?" I heard my father ask as we were at my mother's bar sitting there. "Nah there's this girl" I simply said shaking my head "but back to what we were here for" I said. "Nah we can talk about that in a minute" he assured. "Who's this girl?" He questioned as I shook my head. "Is it someone I know?" He questioned. "Yeah she's been to the house a couple of times. "It ain't Tyra's ass is it?" He started off "you ain't get her pregnant did you?!" He questioned. "Papi, NO" I answered.
"Okay because you know how we all feel about her" he expressed. "Nah I haven't spoke to her in a minute" I truthfully said. "Y/N got you sprung like that" he finally figured as I just looked at him. "How'd you know?" I asked "The way you were looking at her at the party" he started off "It wasn't a regular look it was the same look when I looked at your mother when we were younger" he compared as I just looked away from him. "You two been messing around?" He asked out of curiosity. "For three years" I answered. "It was funny, we started off hating each other and then one day we just-" I started off. "Fell in love" papi answered as I looked at him. "Yeah" I agreed.
"I get it and honestly I think she'd be good for you" papi said as I shook my head. "Ma ain't letting that shit happen at ALL" I expressed "I think she might know something if you knew something was up" I admitted.

"And that's the last person I want to find out" I added looking back over at papi. "She can't stop what you and Y/N choose to do" he said. "Nobody stopped her and I including your aunt and can't nobody stop you and Y/N" he assured me. "I say bring her over for dinner" he suggested as I chuckled. "You trying to get me killed by ma" I simply said drinking some of my drink. "Nah if you're serious about Y/N go about it the right way." He encouraged as I looked at him and nodded.
Y/N
A couple of days went by as I haven't spoken to cane due to him working with Mecca. He didn't text me neither to check in which wasn't sitting right with me. I parked my car in the student drivers parking space coming back from my first day of internship. Apparently I had another internship on the table but I would have to work with Brayden's brother which was a negative but on the flip side I get to work with Brayden and Tariq. I was thinking of possibly doing both so it could look good in my portfolio for grad school I could work in corporate America or become a lawyer so it was a thought.
I walked up to my dorm door as I seen Cane standing there against the wall waiting. "What's up?" He asked as I just looked at him crazy. "You dead ass right now?" I questioned "I ain't hear from you for almost a week" I expressed. "What's up with that?" I asked looking him up and down. "Relax" cane said looking down at me.
