Yashwardhan's heart skipped a beat, a resounding echo of Aarna's words reverberating through his very soul. In that fleeting moment, time seemed to pause, and his heart raced with such intensity he thought it might burst from his chest. He inhaled deeply, his eyes fixating on the ruby embedded in the bangle, careful not to touch Aarna's hand.
His eyes were drawn to the now darkened ruby, his brows knitting together in a desperate plea for a glimpse of Aarna.
Hridey's eyes widened as he noticed a faint figure reflected in the ruby. "Aarna," he whispered, his voice laced with a mixture of awe and disbelief. Aarna turned her gaze to the ruby, her breath catching in her throat.
Aarna's breath ceased as she saw Yashwardhan's image flickering within the gem. Yashwardhan's eyes, brimming with tears, gazed back at her, overwhelmed with emotion.
Yashwardhan fell to his knees, his strength sapped by the weight of his emotions. Aarna, feeling the pull of his anguish, lowered her hand toward him. "Aarna," he cried out, his voice laden with pain. Though Aarna couldn't hear him, she felt his sorrow deeply, his voice forever etched in her soul.
"Yash," she sobbed, her eyes locked on the bangle, and she too collapsed to her knees.
For fifteen heart-wrenching minutes, they remained like that, tears streaming down their faces as if trying to stretch this moment into eternity. They didn't want it to end; this fragile connection was all they had.
"Yash," Aarna said again, her voice trembling. Yashwardhan, unable to hear her, nodded, tears still flowing unchecked.
"Mai vapas aa rahi hu" she mouthed, but Yashwardhan couldn’t decipher her words. She cried while smiling, her expression a poignant mix of hope and despair. She spoke louder, as if sheer will could bridge the gap between them, "Mai vapas aa rahi hu!"
{I am coming back}
Yashwardhan, straining to understand, saw her smile and felt his heart skip another beat. But his vision blurred with tears, and the ruby was too small to convey her words clearly. He wiped his eyes, clearing his vision. "Aarna?" he called out, his voice cracking.
Aarna nodded more vigorously, desperation in her eyes. "Mai vapas aa rahi hu!!" she repeated, her voice louder, echoing in the void between them.
Suddenly, Yashwardhan's eyes widened in astonishment as the ruby began to glow with an intense, blinding light. "It's burning!" Aarna hissed, her face contorting in pain. The ruby's glow grew brighter, until Aarna's image was no longer visible.
In a frantic motion, Aarna ripped the bangle from her wrist and hurled it as far away as possible in the corridor. A second later, the bangles exploded in a violent burst.
Yashwardhan's world came crashing down. "AARNA!" he screamed, his voice a raw, primal cry of anguish. He tried to rush toward the blast, but Aarna held him back, preventing him from getting hurt.
"No, no, no! My Aarna! My Aarna must be hurt! NOOOO!!!!!" His voice was so filled with pain, so heart-wrenchingly screeching, that even Aarna cried at the sight of his agony.
The world around them blurred, the only real thing was their shared grief and the desperate hope that somehow, against all odds, they would be reunited.

Hridey's eyes widened in shock as the ruby in Aarna's bangle began to glow with an almost blinding intensity. The light was so fierce that it cast eerie shadows around the room. Aarna hissed in pain, but she didn’t remove the bangle. She was about to say once more that she was coming back, but before she could get the words out, Hridey sprang into action.
With a grim determination, Hridey grabbed Aarna's wrists, feeling the searing heat from the ruby. He didn’t hesitate; he yanked the bangles off her wrists, burning his own hands in the process. Ignoring the pain, he hurled the bangles away with all his strength. They landed in the far corner of the living room, and a second later, they exploded with a deafening blast.
"YASH!" Aarna screamed, her voice raw with desperation and fear. She tried to run toward the site of the explosion, but Hridey held her back, his grip firm. Aarna sobbed uncontrollably, her whole body shaking with grief. Hridey’s heart felt like it had stopped in his chest as a horrible realization dawned on him: if these bangles had exploded, then...
He released Aarna, unable to hold her any longer. She collapsed to the floor, no longer struggling to reach the blast, instead crying bitterly on the ground. Her sobs echoed through the room, a sound so heartbreaking that it felt like it could shatter glass.
Hridey’s legs wobbled, and he stumbled backward, collapsing onto the couch. His eyes were wide with shock and fear, the thought of Aarna being hurt paralyzing him. His mind raced with terrible images of what might have happened to her.
Hridey rose from the couch, his legs still unsteady. Without a word, he walked out of the house, leaving Aarna alone in her sorrow.

Namaskar Priyjaano!!!!I hope you guys could differentiate between both the Aarna.
I feel like the dialogue "mai vapas aa rahi hu" is iconic in this book. Like it represents the book's emotion. I don't know maybe like I just thought 😭.
I know I am providing very short chapters but it'll all be worth it when you'll receive big chapters with *ahem ahem* scenes, you know what I mean? 🫣.
Don't forget to vote and comment 🤍.
